"Well I was born, and then as I got older I got bigger, and now I'm an adult." Cedric said in an sarcastic way. He didn't exactly like this conversation, and was hoping for some way to get out of it without looking like a douchebag.

Jack heard his desire to get out of the conversation. He told May telepathically. Call me over. She rolled her eyes and walked over.

"Come on, you sorry asshole. We're gonna go beat each other up." May said.

"Aight. Nice talkin with ya... Cedric." Mr. Icondria allowed himself to smile mischievously now as he walked away. After they were out of earshot, Jack looked to May. "So what are we really doing?"

"Sparring."

"Oh great. Exactly what you said then."

"Pretty much."

Alex was walking with Jessica when he pulled her aside.

"Oh geez, what now?" She asked, crossing her arms.

Alex looked over his shoulder to make sure no one was listening in.

"Jess, I- don't laugh-"

"Aren't I always laughin' at you?" Jessica only talked this casually with her closest friends, and even then only if she was interested.

"Yeah, yeah. Anyways, I think... I think I saw a specter or somethin'."

Jessica gave him a callous look.

"So know you're literally seein' ghosts."

"I'm not making this up!" Alex pleaded.

"I was in our tent, and suddenly this guy in gray was there and he read my mind! Got distracted for a second, and poof, he's gone!... He kinda looked familiar..."

Unmoved, Jessica sighed.

"With guys like Zeraliel floating around, I ain't too sure you're lying either. Just... keep your head on straight, ok?"

Alex nodded.

"Yes'm."

Cedric was rather glad that the man left. Something didn't seem right about him. So, Cedric continued his walk around the base. Note to self, stay away from that one. For his safety more than mine, I don't like him. Cedric thought. What, am I just supposed to save that for you? The AI responded. Yes, your a computer aren't you? Just shove it in a file somewhere.

Renegade

Renegade calmly watched the battles unfold.

"Nothing but delaying the inevitable..."

He telepathically contacted Jackson.

"Is your plan going accordingly?"

May stood there, back erect, Jack's back against hers. They both walked ten paces away from each other, then turned around.

Jack smiled and teased her, "You sure you wanna do this, May? I don't wanna hurt you."

"If I win, you cook for me."

"What If I win?"

"You get my memories."

Jack looked at her questioningly now. May took the opportunity to charge him. She had no thoughts in her mind but to punch the ever living shit out of him. Jack waited and when she was close enough he jumped to the side. She ran past him.

"Toro!" He called out mockingly.

She flung a rock at his face. He blocked it with his hand. May punched him in the stomach while he was distracted.

"Ow." He replied voice breaking a bit from the pain.

"I win."

Alex gave Jessica a quick hug.

"Goin' off to talk to the Colonel, behave yourself." He teased.

Jessica rolled her eyes.

What if I could manipulate him into being happy and prosperous? When you're me you can do that. You can feel what they are feeling and you can know everything that crosses their mind. From the information I can gather, I can put together a puzzle of the future. I can tell what they are going to do. I can make him into anyone I want."

"Life is like a poker game, but I can see everyone's hand." And with that he waited for her response. He could eel himself slipping at the moment. He could feel her. He knew he could get in her head if he wanted.

Jack composed himself mentally. He had to put on a happy face or all the plans failed. "Oh, and Vengeance, since you have no current role in my plans, I will say this: Half the things I say are an act and the other half are lies. Don't worry about me getting cocky."
