There was a very quiet knock on Bran and Rylli's door, but no words to who.

Bran chuckled to himself at Deader's antics and got up again to go and answer the door. He opened it in the same fashion as last time and asked "Hello?" To anyone on the other side.

"We're just eating breakfast, were you at the carnival last night, Deader?" Rylli asked. "Oh, and you're all welcome to help out around here after the baby comes." She said to Torii and Yoshi.

[Urran]

Yoshi smiled and held Katya's hand under the table. That was one upside of western style tables. He was done with his plate and milk now.

"We're just eating breakfast, were you at the carnival last night, Deader?" Rylli asked. "Oh, and you're all welcome to help out around here after the baby comes." She said to Torii and Yoshi.

"No, I was busy trying to figure out how to turn a salamander into a sea cucumber with the head and tail of a squirrel. Was it fun, this carnival?"

"I'd love to help with the baby, Mrs. Rylli.", Torii said. "If it will make your day easier, I'll do it!"

Katya giggled. She squeezed Yoshi's hand softly under the table. "Who's at the door now?", She asked.

[The BranRiech]

"I didn't go at all, too tired, Bran said he had fun though, and all these others went as well." Rylli said, wincing at his experiment. "Did it work?"

Pippa-Michelle the golem peaked into the room, looking around, before holding up a bottle of mineral water. It was an intended "healthy gift" for Rylli.

"I'd love to help with the baby, Mrs. Rylli.", Torii said. "If it will make your day easier, I'll do it!"

Katya giggled. She squeezed Yoshi's hand softly under the table. "Who's at the door now?", She asked.

Yoshi kicked happily under the table. "I-I think it's Gio. I heard her" Yoshi answered

"I didn't go at all, too tired, Bran said he had fun though, and all these others went as well." Rylli said, wincing at his experiment. "Did it work?"

"No. It grew extra legs, then exploded. I saved the bits, though, in case the raptors want to try experimenting on them."

[The BranRiech]

Bran just scratched his head and looked confused. "For me?" He asked Pippa Michelle. He stood aside to let her in when he remembered that she was caring for Rylli. "Oh, is that for . . . Rylli?"

"Hmm, well that doesn't sound too good." Rylli frowned. She hoped his experiment worked fine. "Didn't you experiment on Bran one time, he saw his parents last night, he showed me the picture."

"Yes." It began casting glances at Rylli, and then at the sisters. Or so it seemed, as its hood kept shifting among the three of them as if a head underneath was swiveling to regard each in turn.

Meanwhile, Luce sipped his tea. "So, Yoshi, is your chest any better? Those raptors are a crazy lot."

[Urran]

Yoshi nodded. "Yes thank you" he said with a soft smile and a bow of his head. He was still nervous around Luce but was gradually warming up to the man

[Erucia]

The taxi pulled up outside the pub, with the painted sign proclaiming its identity to the world. Dora paid while Ozzall wasn't looking, and the pair of them piled out.

Except for a strange riffling noise and what sounded like commentary on a soccer match, there seemed to be absolute quiet inside, which was naturally strange for a pub. Not even the clinking of glasses could be heard.

Albert got out after the two, and looked at the pub. "Strange that it is so quiet.... You would think that a pub would have more noise coming from it." Albert shrugged as he said that, and his feline tail waved lazily behind him. "I wonder if Chrys is already here..."

"Perhaps the lack of noise is a result of Chrys's actions," Ray suggested as he leaned against Albert.

[New Aksarben]

Albert got out after the two, and looked at the pub. "Strange that it is so quiet.... You would think that a pub would have more noise coming from it." Albert shrugged as he said that, and his feline tail waved lazily behind him. "I wonder if Chrys is already here..."

"Perhaps the lack of noise is a result of Chrys's actions," Ray suggested as he leaned against Albert.

"Possibly...... I wonder what Chrys would have to do to silence a pub though...."

"Maybe we should go check it out," said Dora. Behind her, Ozzall stood with his arms folded. "Either way, just do something instead of standing out here."

The golem nodded and smiled, walking in and placing the bottle on the table near Rylli, before turning around and offering a bow to Bran. Her long brown hair was messed up in the process, but of course she did not care or notice.

"Maybe we should go check it out," said Dora. Behind her, Ozzall stood with his arms folded. "Either way, just do something instead of standing out here."

"Probably a good idea." Albert said, walking up to the door of the pub, and opening it for the group.

Ray entered the pub first, thanking Albert as he entered and stepping aside to give room for Ozzall and Dora.

"Are you her friends, then?" he said slowly and listlessly, as if he'd just been told he was about to be sued into oblivion and then stripped naked, hung upside down from a tree and spray-painted blue.

"Thanks, Pippa." Rylli bowed and took the water, finishing up her Chocolate milk with a milk mustache. She then opened the water and started drinking.

"Want to stay around?" Bran asked the girl.

Yoshi got up and brushed Pippa's hair. It was obvious she couldn't do so herself.

As they brought up the rear, the bartender turned from where he'd been watching TV, revealing a bloodshot eyes-and-worn-out-expression look.

"...Um, yes," Ray gave a shocked look at the bartender's condition. "...Are you OK? Is she causing problems?"

"Oh no, everything's just jolly good," the bartender said, pointing to the far end of the bar, where Chrys was passed out atop a large pile of other people. "Drank up half me stock in about five minutes, challenged the guy at the bottom with the shredded bell-bottom jeans there to a game of pool. Then something happened, there was a whirlwind, and next thing I knew she was standing on top o'all them proclaiming herself the Queen of Pool Hustling and Duct-Taping People Up. After that she wobbled and fell over. Did well, though. I made more tonight than any five Oktoberfests put together..."

He continued playing Solitaire (the riffling noise).

"...Um, yes," Ray gave a shocked look at the bartender's condition. "...Are you OK? Is she causing problems?"

"Oh no, everything's just jolly good," the bartender said, pointing to the far end of the bar, where Chrys was passed out atop a large pile of other people.
