She took a bite of her bagel and added, "800 years would be good. Let's push for a thousand, or more."

Naomi looked relieved. "Yes, she should rest for a little while longer." She put her hand on Katya's shoulder. "If there's anything you need, just come get me. I'm downstairs in the Chaos apartments. Door on the left, when you go down the stairs. Just knock up a storm, okay?"

"I prefer Albert...." He said, a bit annoyed. He still sat in the passenger seat of the car. He felt a bit self-conscious due to not having a shirt at the time. His was still preventing Ray from bleeding out. "Do you want me to explain what happened now? Or later?"

"All right then, Albert," Simon responded. "I'd prefer if you wouldn't tell me what happened now, so that I can have the opportunity to here it while Ray gets patched up in the infirmary. But, I do need to know what in the hell he got shot with and who in the hell you are."

The E7 speed down the roads, ignoring traffic lights and angering motorists. However, despite the law enforcement origins of the vehicle, the diplomatic variant lacked a siren in order to prevent being mistaken for the local police.

"He got shot with this." Albert said, pulling his plasma pistol out. "Its an old weapon from my nation, called a plasma pistol. It utilizes miniaturized fusion reactors to fire plasma. I am Albert and I am the personification of Foederitonis Imperium Aksarben. Or The Federative Empire of Aksarben in English.

Swith stood up and then did something she seldom would. She hugged Yoshi. "Listen kiddo, I know Yuri isn't a representative of you or your people. Hang in there, okay? Believe in yourself, and in your people."

he hugged her back. "thank you...please remember me." he said and showed himself out of the room with a bow. he walked down the hall towards Katya's room. he just remembered he left his shoes there

"Um, no, actually, I was born via parthenogenesis," she said. "I always knew it wasn't very common, but recently, I've got more than one rather shocked reaction when telling people about it. I didn't know it was that weird. I always figured that if that's the way I came to be, it meant I didn't need one for my life, and that it was obvious to everyone."

Dora grinned appreciatively at Giovenith's opinion. "Good for you. As far as I can tell, it isn't. At least, to me it's not that weird." She lit up. "Needing or not needing someone is so individual...it's hard to blame you for not having or needing one."

Her mind returned to Thriller's statement. "Oh, diseases and accidents! That reminds me. I reopened my clinic! We got so caught up in stuff that I forgot to tell you. I was wondering if I could farm out lab work to your lab in the work room, or else to Sapphire at Blackstar. If it's really deadly, I could use my lab downstairs, but that's sort of dedicated to Rodney's work and I'd rather not."

Torii had simply washed off and applied perfume, being...not bloody. Katya was still in he shower, or just getting in. Torii dressed into her normal uniform, with a short-sleeve shirt, and sat at the bedside.

Torii brushed her hair, checked her arm, and got a drink before sitting on the bed against .

"not much to the bio room, in fact, none. Mech room is the same too. My old bedroom is now a play area for the kids. Also try to make the walls somewhat impenetrable for the little ones to escape. I'd hate to walk in and see them not there, just only to figure out they were playing hide-and-go-seek on the Burj Khalifa."

"Uh huh. I found it in the back garden this morning. It tastes like sweat socks and grass, but it's really cute. Take a peek," she smiled with pride and began healing him.

There in the box, nestled in a bed of Kleenex tissues, was... a golf ball.

"I guess so... yeah, I guess as long as I grew up well, it doesn't matter with whom," she smiled and nodded.

Dora smiled back. "So, I never really understood...are you a dragon yourself? And your mother..."

"Ehhh, it's kind of hard to describe. Mama is like a creature similar to dragons, though she came before them, so I guess you could say our dragons are more like her than vice versa... you know, without all of the "humanish" stuff. She made the first ones special out of very old spirits, don't ask me why though, probably because she felt like it... that's the thing, people always asking for a reason for why the Creators make what they do, no one ever considers that maybe they just felt like it. Anyway, I'm not a genius on how the genetics of deities work, but to put it in the simplest terms, she's like a lady-dragon hybrid thingie. Tons of gods have the traits of known animals in the world despite existing before them, Egyptians for example, or Quetzalcoatl who is a dragon-esque entity as well," she explained.
"By extension and inheritance, so me and my siblings are like that as well. We are mostly physically human in appearance, but we share tons of habits with the dragons as well, though we're taught to suppress those without thinking as we get older. Can't be going around biting the people who make you upset. Mom seems to be the most in-tuned with the behavior though, she does a lot of weird things... she can lick us clean, puke pearls, breath regular fire and her Mist, have claws when she wants, stretch out her face and roar at us when we're being very naughty, all that. She's also the only one in our family who I know can turn into a physical dragon."

"No. You cannot." Albert said seriously. "Will Ray be ok?" He asked worried. He looked back at Ray in the back seat.

"A shame," Simon muttered as the car barreled past side streets. "But I don't really know. If he was hit with a plasma weapon, I'm not sure about his survival chances. Even then, if he does live, I'm not sure about possible brain damage and permanent ear and facial damage."

Ray continued moaning in the back of the car.
