"Not really, no." Dora relaxed again, and began fishing for a cigarette she'd lifted from a clown. "A lot of people I knew didn't have one."

Katya felt cooler, soothed. She moaned happily and let Naomi heal her. Torii got up to watch.

Albert kept wondering who they were, but assumed they were part of 317 or something. "Don't call me a catboy. I'm Albert." He continued holding his shirt to Ray's head. He was afraid if he took it away, it would cause Ray even more harm.

"Well then Albert," Simon responded. "Help me get Ray to the car. It's right outside." Despite the wound being more minor than it could have been, Ray was still starting to fall in and out of consciousness.

"Got it." Albert replied, readying himself to either carry Ray, or help him walk. He felt very guilty about shooting him, as he now had realized he had done while under the influence of 1776. Albert quickly grabbed his plasma pistol and put it back in its holster. "Ready whenever you are."

Kei smiled and continued eating, looking into Tieria's eyes once in a while for comfort.

Bran, after a few minutes of stumbling around, fell to the ground near Gio and Dora. He sighed and scooted over to the wall.

"No need." He chuckled. "I'm fine."

Katya felt cooler, soothed. She moaned happily and let Naomi heal her. Torii got up to watch.

Naomi smiled at her. "Rest a little bit, okay? I'm not as fast as Swith." She looked at Torii and Bran and asked, "Are you guys okay?"

"Oh, and yes," she said to Yoshi. "I don't mind questions."

"Got it." Albert replied, readying himself to either carry Ray, or help him walk. He felt very guilty about shooting him, as he now had realized he had done while under the influence of 1776. Albert quickly grabbed his plasma pistol and put it back in its holster. "Ready whenever you are."

"Good," Simon responded as he wrapped his arm under Ray's and lifted him upwards. "Let's get him to that car now." He and the guard made their way towards the elevator, trudging along Ray with the help of Albert, and quickly made their way downstairs and to the car.

"Stretch him out along the back seat, Mike," Simon said to the guard. "I'll drive, and you stay in the back with Ray. Al, you're shotgun," Simon spoke as he opened the driver's door and got inside the car.

Before he rejoined with me and she had to remove it off of me." *he took another sip of his coffee.* "Also dear, we use more than propaganda. Sometimes we annex and such. Xanthe offered a shy smile and then impulsively stood on her tiptoes and kissed his other cheek. She blushed and looked away.

"This is a piece of advice I gave to Thriller a very long time ago...

"Loved ones kick the bucket, Yoshi. It's painful. We end up alone and have to start over every single time. My life would be empty if not for Bran, and little Rachelle, and Neil, and Thriller. They'll all grow old and die, or maybe something will come along and kill them. My memories will forever remind me that I was part of something beautiful and that I wasn't alone. I'll remember that I was loved and I loved in return. That memory will get me through life, and my memory of our days together will live on in my own immortality."

She shrugged and gave "Annex" some thought. "Hmmm. We do that, but it's such a pain in the butt."

Blythe and Xanthe stood there a moment. Xanthe didn't know anyone, but Blythe was ready to poll the population and find immortals.

"Krute," Mama Toussaint said the word slowly. "Eh. You look strong. Strong warriors, den, your peoples?"

Swith looked at Thriller over the edge of her coffee cup and then she smiled.

"This is a piece of advice I gave to Thriller a very long time ago...

"Loved ones kick the bucket, Yoshi. It's painful. We end up alone and have to start over every single time. My life would be empty if not for Bran, and little Rachelle, and Neil, and Thriller. They'll all grow old and die, or maybe something will come along and kill them. My memories will forever remind me that I was part of something beautiful and that I wasn't alone. I'll remember that I was loved and I loved in return. That memory will get me through life, and my memory of our days together will live on in my own immortality."

he nodded. "m-m-my loved ones always seem to leave when I need them most...Mom..and Dad..and Suki...and Pashmina...a-a-and I thought Katya was, but she didn't."

"Um, no, actually, I was born via parthenogenesis," she said. "I always knew it wasn't very common, but recently, I've got more than one rather shocked reaction when telling people about it. I didn't know it was that weird. I always figured that if that's the way I came to be, it meant I didn't need one for my life, and that it was obvious to everyone."

Swith grinned at him, and then smiled at Yoshi. "I could give Thriller immortality, no strings attached, but he does things his own way. I love that about him."

She took a bite of her bagel and added, "800 years would be good. Let's push for a thousand, or more."

"Heh." Toussant nodded and pushed the small bones aside. "Sounds like my people. Dey farm and fish, deh fight. Deh celebrate and mourn."

Naomi looked relieved. "Yes, she should rest for a little while longer." She put her hand on Katya's shoulder. "If there's anything you need, just come get me. I'm downstairs in the Chaos apartments. Door on the left, when you go down the stairs. Just knock up a storm, okay?"

"I prefer Albert...." He said, a bit annoyed. He still sat in the passenger seat of the car. He felt a bit self-conscious due to not having a shirt at the time. His was still preventing Ray from bleeding out. "Do you want me to explain what happened now? Or later?"

"All right then, Albert," Simon responded. "I'd prefer if you wouldn't tell me what happened now, so that I can have the opportunity to here it while Ray gets patched up in the infirmary. But, I do need to know what in the hell he got shot with and who in the hell you are."

The E7 speed down the roads, ignoring traffic lights and angering motorists. However, despite the law enforcement origins of the vehicle, the diplomatic variant lacked a siren in order to prevent being mistaken for the local police.

[The BranRiech]

"Roger, enter landing run." The pilot of the craft reported in after dropping the plane down into a landing pattern over the water outside of Beilefeld. They landed without incident, well, besides splashing some local fishermen, but still, does that really count?

They maneuvered the now-boat into the harbor and docked at the Floatplane marina.

OOC: That's the transport for the Branriech trip in a week.

Yoshi nodded and nervously took a bagel. "I am afraid I must excuse myself...th-thank you Mrs. Swith, you really helped me." he said with a nervous smile

"Thank you, Naomi.", Katya said. "Thanks for helping my sister, Naomi.", Torii said. She helped her older sibling up and walked off to their room for a shower.

"Okay," Naomi grinned. "I was gonna find Giovenith and ask her about the egg I found, but it can wait."

She retrieved the box from where she'd set it and carefully lifted it up.

Swith stood up and then did something she seldom would. She hugged Yoshi. "Listen kiddo, I know Yuri isn't a representative of you or your people. Hang in there, okay? Believe in yourself, and in your people."
