NVE sat in Neil's living room smoking with him. The chicks sat nearby watching television. "I hope this incident didn't blow the operation. Turner and Blake changed right there in the apartment in front of Bran and Torii. And they were seen with me." NVE said. "I'm sure it's fine, you just need to throw them off your case with a distraction. Like what you found earlier, They will be too busy with a ghostship to care that you lied. I'll set it up." Neil said. "Thanks, is Gretta reviving the agents now?" NVE asked. "Yes, they'll be fine soon." Neil reassured him.

New Aksarben wrote:"What are you doing Ray?" Albert asked, a bit worried. He looked at NVE then, and said, "Paramilitary also counts. Anything you were trained in military tactics and in a military style."

Ray stayed quiet, attempting to fight the massive pain coming from his head. He refused to answer, partially because of his condition and partially because he decided it wasn't an appropriate time. He continued listening in on the conversations, however.

An approaching car could be heard: when it came into sight, it was revealed to be a black E7. It pulled up next to the building's entrance, with two men exiting. One of them was uniformed like a security guard, even wearing a bullet-protective vest over his work-shirt and tie. The other wore a full, three-piece suit; he looked well aged, at the least. They disappeared into the apartment's lobby, and soon arrived via elevator to the floor in which Ray was slowly dieing on.

"Ray!", the suited man exclaimed as he jogged towards him. "Jesus boy, what happened?"

"*Mph!* No idea, Mr. Clark," Ray responded with a light voice as the man hovered over him, the security guard in the background with a sub-machine gun.

"Mm," Swith brightened. "Have you tried the one with strawberries swirled into it? I found it at the market day before yesterday. Oh, so good!"

She grew serious again. "Yoshi, a year ago, I would have given you what I just offered. You would have instant perfection in your writing. You would have written that work. And then you would have been unhappy. The world would pale, and nothing would be beautiful enough. This is what happens to those who take up my offer. They want more and more, they see flaws and demand more perfection. They slowly eat away at themselves. In exchange for that "blessing", I'd take your soul. But I'm not the same being. Thriller taught me that there are better things, and better ways to go about my business. So no, I can't in good conscious do that to you.

"However, you have the ability to sway the people. You're a writer. The pen is indeed mightier than a sword. Your leaders... they can't control the minds of the people, not really. Yuri can only change when the people rise up. The people are the power. That's why, when you conquer a nation, you blight the crops and riddle the people with disease. It's the people, disgusted with their government's inability to do anything, that then force their government into action or else they topple that government. This is how Chaos conquers. This is how, I think, the Templars unite nations."

Swith raised her eyebrow. "Is that one of the methods you use to unite the nations?" she asked.

--

"Right!" Xanthe and Blythe replied. "Meet in the lobby in an hour?"

--

"I don' know! Deh Universe won' tell me!" Toussaint laughed in relief. "I know on'y what Minerva told me. Dis good!"

"Sorry 'bout that Yoshi. If it makes you feel better, My altered personality, Levi was, for a short time, under her control. Before he rejoined with me and she had to remove it off of me." *he took another sip of his coffee.* "Also dear, we use more than propaganda. Sometimes we annex and such. Mixed tactics keep people on their toes."
__
"Oh no, for me to get the weapons, that would take more than an hour, but rather a few days. Don't worry I will be back."
__
"Not good, bor'n'."

Urran wrote:"perfection is not what I want...I-I just want to give people hope through my writing...." he admitted, he seemed saddened and afraid. in truth, Swith terrified him.

"You do have that ability in you, Yoshi. But you should let it come out on its own. It's there." She smiled at him.

Yoshi looked up and let it all sink in. "I-I understand." he said with a smile. "c-can I ask you a question?"
A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good just because it's accepted by a majority.

Swith thought about that one. "Ah, a little change-up never hurt the cause. Annex? I'm not familiar with that."

"Oh, and yes," she said to Yoshi. "I don't mind questions."

--

Blythe nodded and kissed his cheek. "Be careful, okay?"

Xanthe offered a shy smile and then impulsively stood on her tiptoes and kissed his other cheek. She blushed and looked away.
