I hope you don't expect that out of me for every post; I spent the better part of five days editing and re-editing as it struck my fancy. Hell, I think I spent more time on that than I did on most of my uni papers this last term. :p

Oh no not anything that long or extreme, but just that type of dedication to the story. I think that its definitely a well deserved addition. Just be careful that Kass doesn't think you're wandering into his territory of one shots. Its just kind of his thing.

Nah. Just the one, to introduce everyone to the character. "Mysterious backstory"-types are all well and good, but they aren't particularly engaging if you don't know anything about them. That one-shot is just to get everyone interested, and help them make sense of more things as they get mentioned by Ava.

Very true. You just might have encouraged me to write a one shot into the "enigmatic" past that is Gilbert. Cause while the bio is all fine and dandy, it kinda dismisses some of the stuff that he up until me writing a one shot only theoretically went through.

Also I found this quote from a forum just a bit ago and I found it a bit relevant here. "In the future, mankind has harnessed the ability of hundred-foot walking mecha tanks, each using enormous firearms and high-tech energy weapons to take warfare to the next level... except a handful of pilots have decided to use these Armored Cores (in this case VALKS) to punch the living **** out of each other."

Hey, even tank crews have the burning desire to drive close enough to another tank so that they can hit it with their swords.

(Tank crewmen so carry swords, don't they?)

VALK's are neo-cavalry. Everyone just needs to convert to animal-shaped VALK's that have open-air cockpits, saddle-style.

While many people on nationstates may be all about more modern military tech, I've always been more of a fan of the good old fashioned "honorable" brutality of old melee times.

I'll admit, as I was reading everyone's responses... my hackles went up.

All I could think was: It's on now.

Anyways, read it all and it was well done. I like it and welcome to the group. As for this particular section:

"You're insane. There's not a single person in GAMA that would work alongside her."

Welcome to Rammstein, the Cooper Party is currently busy on the shooting range so feel free to take a seat and wait to be introduced to one of Australia's most notorious VALKyrie pilots, simply for the fact that he and his father are considered likely traitors responsible for the fall of the New Sydney Fortress City.

As for you wolfie, I prefer nice clean efficient kills. Couldn't you tell from the multiple times I've exploded Josh in the face of his enemies? It's almost become a trope now... and I'm trying to decide whether or not to have him take a sim grenade and run into enemy lines if he gets the chance.

And just how effective was that at killing men? You survived, so obviously not effective enough. Then again, you aren't any old man, but Patton himself so it's perfectly understandable.

Just a question I have been curious about recently, thinking about various aspects of my character and all and seeing what wold make the most sense. I asked something similar before, and I believe you said something along the lines of 90% of the world has fallen to ruin/infection, I think.

But, are there any cities remaining that can still be called cities? Something more than ruins and survivors holding out in makeshift defenses. Like maybe a place the UN or different group secured early on and has put substantial defenses around. Essentially are there any cities left where people still live "normal" lives?

Cape town is a city, one of the walled cities in the world. A big wall in fact, to stop infected from getting in and from Proteus or terrorists from blowing it up in one swift attack.

Well technically Tokyo was up until about halfway through the events of the RP. It fell victim to a terrorist attack during a meeting of the UN. Other than that it's kind of a hit or miss cause some we havent fully decided on their state. The pacific islands, one would think would remain somewhat untouched due to their isolated nature, but it'd depend on just how isolated they are.

That's too bad, I will probably avoid mention of any of that for now, just have Singapore if I ever do mention anything about the stuff I had in mind.
