History:After he was born, in which his mother died from childbirth, Irvin realized that he grew stronger by weakening others. Expanding on this, when he tied really hard, he could turn into a mist form, where he could surround people and slowly drain them of their life-force, feeding himself. Adding to his powers, he could make Illusions, tricking people into going into his mist, and then further tricking people to stay with it, where they would slowly perish. Making their lives even worse, he could read their minds and communicate them, making it seem like they had voices in their heads, and he could use their memories to influence them with his illusions.
Powers:Illusions(5), Sublimation(8), Telepathy(8), Drain(8)
Drawbacks: Can't really fight straight up against anyone, he relies mostly on trickery

If it's an alien invasion, wouldn't everyone join together? Also, the idea was an alien computer with blueprints for the portal. Try following the quote links to the source.

Edit: Some characters have mind control resistance and mind control is one of the possible powers. I suggest instead blueprints for an interdimensional portal which could, for example, unleash an army of Eldritch Abominations.

Oh. My original idea was to have a powerful item the heroes were guarding to prevent people from going off into random fights, and to give the villains a reason to be attacking.

The city was large and vast, about two to three kilometers in size with a kilometer high arcology in the smack dab middle of it, this is where the League of Hero's stay, The League of Hero's isn't a fancy name for a police force or fire department, but the name of a league of Superhero's, of various size and gender, but where's their Superhero's there's supervillians. They fight over control of Eudaimonium for the funesies. But there is more in Eudaimonium, something that could change the face of the planet, it is an alien supercomputer (Only 99.99$!) whom we shall call Abros 9999 . Abros comes from a long extinct race called the Endless, as later human historians will call them, they were a every advanced species, and the human's are still trying to decipher their language. Abros is under lock and key by the League of Heroes and EDF, in a deep, deep underground bunker with with sentry turrets and heavily armed and armored guards,armed with a wide variety of weapons. But the villains want this supercomputer, who what they think opens a portal to another world, an alternate reality so to speak. They haven't dechipered the machine yet,but they plan too.
