Come on guys, this isnt fair for me. You are doing all kinds of stuff in my region in IC without waiting for me. For christ sake how am I going to IC when you keep doing bullshit and acting like I'm going take it up the ass, and my forces watch idle by the Levant coast as you come over. Why, exactly, can I not go through the Black Sea through Georgia? The Mongols were quite appreciative, accepting and tolerant of peaceful traders.
People assuming all Russia is snowy and sparse, people assuming only the Muslims had any worthwhile tech, people assuming religious tolerance erases every religious problem known to man, etc.

I've recently caught interest in this thread. However, I noticed there was little if any space for another nation, unless I remain unaware of any openings - I have not the time to read through a hundred forty plus pages of OOC posts.

So, I was wondering what regions remained open in Europe. Should there be none, or if I'm allowed, can I perhaps play as the Song dynasty of China? [obviously, somewhat alternate history given that in RL the Song dynasty ended just slightly before that, but I was considering the Song dynasty actually repelled the Mongol invasion and remained independent and sovereign over a united China.]

...I fail to see what the problem is. In the Levant, just follow Saladin's strategies---bottle the Crusaders up in whatever fortresses they manage to capture in the first few days, harass their supply lines, and destroy every oasis/well that could be used as a supply point, thus reducing the Europeans, with their knights and horses, to the breaking point if they try and move further inland.

With your constant harassment, as well as the loss of revenue from the redirection of so many supplies, the Crusaders in the Levant will probably give up (I would expect Pisa to get annoyed with the loss of money and lack of profit) within a year or two. If they aim for cities, make their lives living hell with civilian levies, and point out to your population what Crusaders like to do to heathens. You'll have an army that can overwhelm or severely damage the Europeans----at the least, they'll tie down resources, giving you time to move your army and smash them.

Iberia is a different situation, but not all that much.

I plan to provide mainly naval support to the Levant campaign and hopefully get Alexandria or at least some prestige and a bit of profit at the end of it, and my main effort will be in Iberia where there are many rebels, and more supplies.

Goo thing he's a direct outlet to the Silk Road and by extension India and China, which is essentially cut off from Europe, theoretically allowing me gunpowder earlier than you saps.

Well, Austria, Bavaria and Hungary are three great powers, even at this point in time. Bohemia is another. If he can seriously take down some of the greatest and most powerful medieval nations that Europe has seen, then I'm a little bit concerned. Otherwise, bring it on.
