Ethiopia can have 30,000 armor sets after one year and with a large government bill.

Then 30,000 of my men are armed then. And full sets, not just pieces. And I can pay the bill.

Well,a n armor set at the time was a hauberk and helm.

No. Yemen had ayyubid style tech and Makuria was near that. Alodia not so much. I salvaged a lot of good equipment. Not just spears.

Okay so my forces so far. Around 35,000 professional soldiers. Around 25,000 with mixed assorted, not full sets and average training, and 50,000 archers with no armour and training only in a bow. That is 100,000 men total. A nice force for Ethiopia. And with Assab at its helm it will be full of zeal and passion. And seeing as I'm making more armour and weapons I think more men will be in my army soon.
