Also, it's funny how so many guys are sending troops while they're in very weak positions. France is missing half its territories, Byzantium barely has more than Greece and the Turks are breathing down its neck, but sure, send 40,000 men to Egypt to fight and gain nothing. ??? It makes no sense.

Ha. I've been making a new system for me to choose who I will side with in this war. Your ally, the Ayyubids, made the best bid so far so I'm on the side if the Ayyubids. If the christians make a better bid then I will side with them. I'm selling my loyalty really. Offer me the best and I go with you. All 200,000 of my zealous warriors will follow me and I follow the highest bidder.

I trust the Ayyubids. You can ally with them. You're too far to effect me anyway.

Really? How much did the Ayyubids offer you?

Quite a bit. And the only that can outbid them is the Pope. And he hasn't made any offers. If I'm going to war I want gains because many of my people may day. Ethiopia only has around 50,000 fully armed and trained soldiers. And they are armed with leather armour and longswords, not chainmail.

Well, I have a Standing army of 120,000 and a reservist army(Mercs tend to fall under here) of 100,000. That is 220,000. And If I really pushed for a full 5%, I could wield a force of 650,000. G Tech could raise 1,000,000 if pushed to the extremes.

And how exactly do you have that many people? Kiev wasn't exactly a metropolis in a fertile valley.

Also, I'd keep those for the millions of Mongols.

Too far to affect you. But I can affect you flank so if the offers from your side don't stay good I'm just gonna switch sides.

Actually, Kiev the City was a fertile metropolis in a VERY fertile valley.

At the time of the Mongol destruction, Kiev was reputed as one of the largest cities in the world, with a population exceeding one hundred thousand.

Also, I would never utilize more than 250,000 at once. If you look at my posts, my largest war used 90,000 men, and the largest single army was 35,000.

Yeah. So the best side that makes me a good offer will have my army at their command. When I get it ready very shortly here.

Fertile from trade routes, perhaps. So your city has about 100,000 people. Where do the other several million come from?

Mostly from the European part of my EmpireKingdom. The bulk of Kiev is actually medium density, more similar to Europe than the rest of Russia.

...

I have nine million. The Ayyubids have a little less. The Muslims were the most populous and technologically advances factions in the Middle Ages.

How does Kiev get 13 million?

That is a misconception. They had the most urban population, but it is basic geography. Most of my land sits in the fertile Dnieper River Valley. Most of yours is arid. And, 6-7 million of your population comes from Iberia.
