- Name: Anthony D. Browning
- Age: DOB: October 9th, 1977 (39 years of age)
- Gender: Male
- Nationality: American
- Appearance: *uses Derek's picture*
- Personality: Serious, strict, and by-the-book when on the job, though he tends to loosen up during off-time.
- Role: Ground fighter
- Service: United States Marine Corps; Captain, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit; Enlisted: 1995; Age at enlistment: 18 (NROTC)
- Bio:
Born in 1977 to a US Army doctor mom - Glenda M. Matthews - and United States Marine Corps Lt. Col Craig A. Browning in Boston, Massachusetts, Anthony grew up with the dream of following his parents' footsteps and becoming an official in the United States military. Throughout his life, he was uncertain of what he wanted to be and where he wanted to go, exactly, but knew he would have to choose between the Army and the Marines. This soon became an internal conflict for him, as he felt he would make a biased decision and go with the branch attributed to which parent he liked the most.
As he continued to plow through the 12th grade, he decided that he wanted to join the United States Marine Corps. After he finished high school, he told his parents of his plan - enlist in the United States Marine Corps.
At the age of 18, he went to Parris Island for full boot camp training and later graduated as a Private First Class in the United States Marine Corps. The next year, he requested to be transferred as an officer of the USMC; utilizing enlisted-to-officer programs within the Marines, he attended four years of officer training and, in 2000, graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant. Newly assigned to the 24th MEU, he was transferred to undergo peace support operations in Kosovo with his unit.
Following the 24th to their deployment in Kosovo in 2002 and also deploying with the 24th to Iraq in 2003, Anthony managed to obtain large quantities of experience in the field and working with his soldiers, who eventually came to respect him greatly.
In June of 2004, the 24th was again deployed, and Anthony followed suit. During the Iraqi elections, Anthony and his unit participated in the operation to secure the so-called Triangle of Death; in this, he was shot twice through his left arm and once through his right arm. Here, he gained a purple heart for his wounds, a promotion to 1st Lieutenant, and was shipped home.
Anthony was again deployed to Lebanon in 2006 to evacuate US nationals there, following the Israeli strikes on the Beirut International Airport that rendered it nonoperational.
After that deployment, Anthony was deployed to Afghanistan in 2008, to the Helmand Province. After a month and a half of fighting in the region, the MEU called that the operation was successful. Recalling operational reports from the unit's commanders, Anthony was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and promoted to the rank of Captain.
From 2008 on, Anthony has deployed with the 24th MEU to Haiti in 2010 and was assigned as an expeditionary crisis response force in 2012. However, in 2013 following the attack in Seattle, Anthony requested to join IATO and work to fight against the terrorists he had fought years before; with his startling record, two USMC medals and the obviously high experience he had obtained in Afghanistan and Iraq, he was quickly accepted and began to work with IATO.Phoenix2012 wrote:Oh yeah, gaveo, did I mention that xanixi likes to carefully analyze the ic and ooc and point out everything you did wrong. It's my marine, though. Walking in on the medical bay to check on you is weird for a guy you don't know...
Not sure if we all caught on, but I wanted to say that Derek was sent back to the Navy and the USMC sent Anthony, my marine, into IATO.
Are we cool with that?

Maybe I just leave it at my guy is walking around the interior of the warship and someone spots him and talks to him?
