Jason stares at the little girl with sympathy. "Oh my.. I'm so sorry.. It must be hard." He patted her head to reassure her. "It will be alright.. Maybe you could stay with my family and I? We would love to have you with us." He smiled at her and squatted down so he was at eye level with her. "How does that sound?"

"Mii~" Rika said, now genuinely feeling more cheerful as she wiped the final remaining tears from her eyes, "I would love to" she said as she hugged Jason at his waist, burying her head into his shirt. she looked up at him with a excited smile, "thank you sir" she said as she released him, "thank you for another chance..."

Jason nodded. "It's nothing, really.. So what's your name? I don't think you have told me yet.. I am Jason." He smiled.

The girl had completely lost track of her ancestor, who was fiddling with strange looking object in the basement out of curiosity. After a moment of messing with the object, it sprung to life. The orb like object spat out rays of light, making the goddess recoil her hand. After a bit the horned girl felt like she was being shocked by the orb, and quickly flew up the stairs crying to Rika. Hiding behind Rika, Hanyuu began to speak "Hau! au~ au~ Rika! I-I-I-I swear I didn't mean to break it!" The lavender haired girl stopped when she realized the Rika was ignoring her, trying not to seem insane to the man that offered her a home.

Jason nodded. "It's nothing, really.. So what's your name? I don't think you have told me yet.. I am Jason." He smiled.

"Jason..." Rika said as she smiled warmly, "what a nice name, my name is Rika" she said giving a courtesy bow to the man. Hanyuu was surprised by the man's question, but it was clearly directed at her. The girl may be visible, but she was still partially transparent and was still floating off the ground. Rika stood with her mouth open, wide eyed at the ordeal. "Y-y-you can see her?" Rika said, shocked.

The horned girl was streaming happy tears from her eyes, smiling at the fact that she could finally rest. Rika, too, was happy that they need not fear fate any longer. Having faced death for so many years and losing has caused the girl's heart to resign, forfeiting all hope that they would be rescued. Now she could live as a normal girl, with just a dash of supernatural spice to prevent things from getting boring, in the form of her own guardian goddess... in the form of her best friend...

Rika was surprised by the sudden proclamation about treating the girls to lunch and a movie, because of course Rika had never been to the movies being from 1983 rural Japan. Rika glanced about her friend Hanyuu, who was giving the same friendly face that she had given when she had first been born. Hanyuu had been with Rika since she was born, following the only person that could see her like that of a lost puppy. The young goddess only wanted companionship out of Rika, and all she wanted in return was a playmate that would play hide and seek with her. The pair spent all of their time together, Hanyuu taking the role of Rika's mother after her mother died. Hanyuu would preform a multitude of tasks, including making sure that the young violet haired priestess was awake for school and taking proper notes. Of course, Hanyuu was the only one that guided her through the other worlds while maintaining Rika's sanity even after her death. None of that mattered now though, the two girls had obtained the future that they prayed for.
