It was a sunny day, completely devoid of any clouds, and the New Mexican sun bore down upon the pavement of the suburb. It was supposed to reach a high of 36 degrees celsius, which wasn't too high, considering it was late August. Pools lay populated with kids and parents alike. Front lawns were populated with sporadic sprinklers, some on, some off. Cars were being washed, and lemonade sold.

It was a classic, beautiful view of suburbia. One home, in particular, however, contained even more people. It was the Takahashi's house - Aiko, Jason, and Sakamura. They were holding a party for those newcomers to the town. Some of them knew each other, but most were strangers. Aiko herself stood at the door, talking to people arriving, while their daughter Sakamura was upstairs in her room.

Jason was busy downstairs on his newest invention. Even though he wanted to meet the new people to the town, his work had to come first, he sighed as he slowly began assembling his creation. He was very good at making things. Their house filled with his creations. After a while, he finally finished his design and held it in front of him. They were mechanical wings. And they looked pretty badass if he did say so himself. They could carry anyone up to 200 lbs. Or at least he hoped so. With his work done, he cleaned himself up and went upstairs, looking for his wife.

Elrech stumbled into the house, literally, considering Moka was hanging on his arm and it was hard to get anywhere. She thought it was SOOOO funny. Elrech didn't, he was pissed and musing silently. He looked around and didn't bother to take off his sunglasses, and just stared at the people surrounding him with a smirk."Hey, Hey, Elrech! You want to go get some punch? I best it taste's REAAAALLY good!" Cried Moka, making Elrech rub his forehead. "Not now, Moka. I have a headache." It was clear how this couple worked; Moka was the loving, caring and outgoing type, and Elrech was the income hound with a "Don't fucking speak to me" attitude, at least on the outside. On the inside he was pretty nice, once you go to know him.

Aiko was waiting near the entranceway to the house, and giggled when she saw Elrech. "You two are cute. What are your names?" She asked in a friendly matter, before spotting her husband. "Oh, Jason, come here! We have a pair of new guests!

Jason turned towards the doorway and saw three people. A bubbly pink haired girl. A serious guy wearing sunglasses, and of course, his beautiful wife. Jason approached them and smiled. "Hello you two!" He turned to his wife. "Where is Sakamura?"

"I think Sakamura's upstairs, in her room. I told her that she didn't have to come down if she didn't want, since I don't think there's anybody here around her age." She said smiling. "Why, Jason, do you need her?" She put her arm around Jason's waist and looked back at the newly arrived couple.

"I have an invention that I think she would like to test. She's been wanting to test an invention forever.. What do you think?" He smiled and kissed her nose.

Moka looked like she might swoon; hoping Elrech would catch her. Elrech was just bothered by the public display of affection; and had no interest in catching any swooning girl. Moka looked over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Elrech, why don't you ever treat me like that anymore? Are you over me...?" She nuzzled her head under his chin, considering she was about half a foot shorter than him. He however, looked quite angry. "Yes, Moka, I am sooooo over you. So over you that I take you shopping whenever you want, and basically get dragged around like a dog." Moka's smile turned to a frown and she simply hugged him now. Elrech wasn;t very happy: He thought the other couple made her act like this. "Alright Elrech, if you....want to leave that's fine. I will be home later." She let go of him and smiled, standing on her tippy toes to give him a kiss. He at least lowered himself a bit and let her do it, and then he smiled and walked away. Moka turned to the two, still slightly frowning. Sometimes I wonder.....Why....If he hate's me......Why did he marry me? she thought, but Elrech did love her. He felt that she forced it upon him. She started smiling again, and said "My name is Moka, and that is my husband, the ever so kind Elrech. He really isn't that bad, you know."

Kurt knocked on the front door. Even though he had lived there for about six months, he still didn't know many people in town and hopefully could make some friends here. All he did for work was teach guitar at the music store, and the occasional guitar technique workshop. Whatever he was doing though, he was a musician and when he couldn't pay the bills with his earnings from lessons, he gigged locally for extra cash.

Sounds good, honey." Aiko said quietly, smiling when Jason kissed her on the nose. Turning back to the new couple, Aiko said, "Yeah, he doesn't seem so bad." She said in a barely detectable sarcastic tone. "Good to meet you, Moka. I'm Aiko, this is my humble abode. I've met Elrech, I assume." She smiled again, revealing her perfect teeth. "Here, come to the living room." She gestured at Moka. "You two seem like a cute couple. Do you have any kids?"

Sakamura had been laying on her bed, chest down, browsing through the internet on her Macbook when she heard the knock on the door. Dressed in her pyjamas, she wore a green, loose fitting tank top and yellow boyshorts. She closed her Skype tab, just in case, then, said, "Come in!"

Kurt knocked on the front door. Even though he had lived there for about six months, he still didn't know many people in town and hopefully could make some friends here. All he did for work was teach guitar at the music store, and the occasional guitar technique workshop. Whatever he was doing though, he was a musician and when he couldn't pay the bills with his earnings from lessons, he gigged locally for extra cash.

Aiko, after showing Moka in, went back to answer the door, running as fast as she could in platform heels. Opening it, she saw Kurt. "Hi, how are you?" She asked brightly.

Moka started to get a little less outgoing after being led around and introduced to people. She finally just reverted to a bow and a low pitch "hello..."
Elrech, on the other hand, was about to have a breakdown. Moka, who he rarely referred to as his wife, was probably explaining what a piece of shit he was to the others. He felt like one right about now though, and started his 3 hour walk home leaving the car for Moka along with some money.

Moka swirls her drink in its cup, watchimg it form a miniature whirlpool. She smiles and tries to talk but simply adjusts her collar and smiles hopefully. "He..he will come back. Just has to cool off." She sighed.

Elrech walks back to the house and runs into Jason. He pulls out a cigarette and lights it. "Uhh, hey."

Well he does just that. Blowing smoke into his face he coughs, not realizing what he did. "Oh, uh, sorry buddy." He laughs and drops the cigarette. "My wife probably hates me, just needed a smoke to cool off.

Jason coughs slightly and waves the smoke away. "It's fine. Why would your wife hate you? She seems very attached and loving."

He waves himself over, scoffing. "Uh, i'm a dick. Look at me." He had his furr necked coat and rings, his pitch black hair and weird smile. "Kind of a shitty personality too." He laughs and smashes his cigarette.
