As with the theory of parallel universes, all are different. And, in this universe, people are much more exaggerated, much more like the traditional TV Tropes definition of an archetype. These people are biologically similar, if not exactly identical (Tests have not been able to completely determine the composition of their DNA) to their counterparts in the known world. As the years progressed, even with the greatest minds working on the project, Steiner and his team could not find a safe way to transport more than one person back to their original universe. So, accepting their fate, most of the Outsiders, as they were called, began integrating themselves into society.
As one generation passed the torch to the next, the new generation was known as the "Minglers", due to the fact that many of them intermarried with the Outsiders. As they settled down and had children, it was evident that some Outsider traits were passed down. All Outsider-Human children carried most physical traits from their Outsider parent; Hair, size, eye color. These traits, which were much more accentuated in Outsider DNA, i.e, red and orange, as well as blonde hair are much more prevalent, and even colors such as indigo, green, or aqua, which are never displayed by Humans, are prevalent in the Outsiders.
Now, they live among us, with us, married to us. They've bored our children. But now, with the disturbance within the universes has begun to attract others, other people in other universes, which may be less inclined to integrate and rather exterminate.
For now, however, we are all a group of good friends, who live in a small suburb of in-fill between Bullhead City, Arizona, and Kingman, Arizona. We may have known each other from College, or even earlier. However, now, we live in the same suburb, see each other on a weekly basis. All of us have married now, and some of us have had children. The children go to a school known as Fox Creek Preparatory School, a private school with uniforms akin to this for the girls, and a similar dress code for the boys, replacing the skirt with dress pants.
