Now if SoY would get online and update the map, and if YOU WOULD PUT THE UPDATED MAP IN THE OP, SO PEOPLE WOULD STOP TRYING TO CLAIM TAKEN LAND, I could celebrate IC being open.

Will it be alright for me to mention in passing the African Union, Congo, and Namibia?
I can edit it if anyone lays claim to them and such, but I'd like to at least pretend that most of the African continent isn't empty.

Istanbul, you mean... There is no Constantinople IRL
Yes there is and it was the official name till modern Turkey was formed in the 1920s. And many people still call it Constantinople
Did you know that Istanbul is a misstranslation of the Turks? It actually means 'Ις την Πολη' which means 'To the City' in Greek.
Same goes for Izmir 'Ις την Σμυρνη' which means 'To the Smirni' in Greek.
Greeks today still call Constantinople, just 'Polis' which means City.
So in other words, take your Turkish words with Greek roots out of here cause the city was, is, and shall always be called CONSTANTINOPLE!
*soon to be Greek again

In other words, NO BONUS FOR CONSTANTINOPLE.
