Nation History Summary: The Indian Federation is a loose descendant of the ancient Maratha Confederacy, a state on the Indian Subcontinent with medieval roots. Polynesians settled New Zealand in 1250–1300 CE and developed a distinctive Māori culture. Europeans first made contact in 1642 CE.
