I've also been thinking if we should set up some kind of standard for measuring eachother's economic strength. When wars are fought between countries, the strength of both countries economies will come into play. I've got a few ideas using some nationstates statistics calculator. Plus it also puts a limit on what your nation is capable of doing in a given period of time. I think it would be a good idea as it would allow our nations to guage eachother more effectively. Let me know what you all think, I should be able to cook something up for it.

Yep. I am agree with this. Japan in here, I say is stronger in economy compared with Korea, but at the same level as the South Pacific and ASEAN.

Well, the main problem is that my country on Absolution NS tracker has a GDP of some 117 trillion dollars, and a not as populous newer player will have a smaller economy because of his population. That's the main issue. Yanalia is only 8.67 trillion for example.

I think GDP per capita multiplied by rp population should be good. That brings mine down to 3.4 trillion, which is a much more reasonable number. I'll try to come up with a list if you all approve.

I'll have to change my rp population to 65 million, for whatever reason I thought the U.K. was much smaller than it actually was, it's current population is something like 63 million. Anyways, I'll just use everybody's GDP per capita on absolution ns tracker and multiply that by the total rp population. We'll need everyone's consent of course before we use it to actually influence the game.

I'm not gonna lie though, some of you won't be as powerful as you thought you were, but it's all for the sake of realism. We can't all be economic juggernauts.

I don't think tying an AWRP based on actual nations to NS Nations is a good idea. I don't have any alternatives, of course, other than suggesting people actually at least Wiki the capabilities of what they're playing as. I'm a bit nervous about supercarriers popping out everywhere. :)

That maybe, but I don't really see any other way to do it otherwise we will have supercarriers everywhere, and everyone will have a tip top space program. With some people, I might use the economic strength of the country they are playing as, because some of the economic stuff I pulled up was pretty sad.

All right, I think this is what I'll do.

I will take each countries GDP per capita in dollars, multiply it by rp population, then compare it to the actual real GDP of the country they are playing now, and extrapolate that out from now till 2022. Whichever one is higher should serve as your nations GDP, or the strength of your economy. For those of you that consist of multiple countries, like Yanalia, the Caspian Federation, and the South Pacific Republic, it might take a while, but I believe it will work. It will give those of you with not so powerful nationstates economies to actually play with the power conferred by the economy of the nation you are playing as or more. I think it's fair, just need everyone's approval.

Not sure how extrapolation can be done, since everyone grows differently. If you're absolutely nice and industrious enough you could put them up for general reference, but I really don't think 2 different RP stats should be mixed. It's much easier for each player to just get a good feel of their nations and how they would go in this timeline.

It doesn't need to be an exact thing, it'll be fine. We just need to give every one a sense of how much power they actually have so we don't have everybody sailing the 7 seas with their flotillas of supercarriers and massive arsenals of nuclear weapons. Also, it might put a stop to all of this wonton invading of every other NPC country. It might turn out to be to expensive.

Yes, compared to all the other inhabited continents in the world, Australia has the shittiest land for farming. Low in nutrients and no real competitive natural crops to speak off.
