IC Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=236812&p=13983480#p13983480

Hello Roleplayers out there. Its me Reaper and I'll bring you a zombie roleplay. Now I know what you guys are thinking,

"man another zombie roleplay, we already have like 20 of these."

Well yes we do, but none of them seem to take off and those that do die quickly. Its either because people lose interest or there are too many military type of characters that seem they won't die. Well hopefully this roleplay won't end up like the others.

So the setting is going to take place somewhere in Iowa in a fictional town name Alaston.

You are in a small town in the middle of nowhere. The nearest civilization such as a major city is miles away. The only means of communicating, without driving are through mail, internet, or phone.

One day as the town residents did their usual everyday thing, a military helicopter follow by a ground transport convo roam past the town. The helicopter however was carrying a container, that contain a biological virus created by the army. Also inside that container were subjects, that had died and been reanimated by the virus. Well the helicopter had a little malfunction and crashed into the forest, opening the container and releasing the dead, and the virus itself. The ground transport convo rushed to the location of where the helicopter crashed. Unfortunately the virus was waterborne and airborne. They eliminated most of the undead, while some escape to the nearby town.

Well I guess that's the intro, not the best but hey i was doing this late at night. lol

Okay so this Rp, you can be pretty much whoever you want. Pharmacist, student, major, sheriff, etc.

I will not accept many military characters or characters that have similar qualities.

What do you mean?

For the most part, it's going to be pretty much a free thing. You guys rp like usual, I will come up with event's every now and then and you guys will react to that.

Thanks, that actually answers the question. Dialogue based play to be regulated via personal measure of acceptability.

Yep, seems about right. I actually do take a manufacturing class at my school, so the idea of 'Hmm, zombies+power tools= manageable defenses' has always been in the back of my head.

Physical Description:

Birthplace: New York City, New York
Nationality: American
Occupation: Writer / Stand - Up
Background: Frank grew up in what his southern mother called a city that "Just wasn't right" she deemed the city unmoral, and could often be heard saying of the place that "Somethin' in the buttermilk just ain't clean." Frank was less like her (to her own dismay) and very similar to his construction worker father who was disabled in an on site accident. Being that his dad was at home most days, they would spend plenty of time together but his father was far more crotchety than he was nurturing. This trait clearly passed on to frank and can easily be seen in his book that was soon to be published entitled: "Really, Ask Someone Who Cares" which he set off to the midwest to promote. Frank has always had a take what you deserve kind of attitude because as he learned growing up, nothing in this life would be handed to you on a silver platter, "But you're white, so you've got it better" as his dad would say.

Name: Bishop Tailor
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Physical Description (A picture will suffice):
Image

Birthplace: Edmond, Oklahoma
Nationality: American (Dutch-German descent)
Occupation: Student/Truant

Background: How would one describe Mr. Tailor? If you asked his teachers they would call him a waste of talent. His family would most likely say something along the lines of having never been properly engaged. If you could find anyone who would call themselves his friend they would probably just say crazy. Bishop was one of those people who never cared too much for the world around him and instead immersed himself in the world of art and fiction. He could recite most of what he had seen, heard, or read from memory, but was often unable to recall the contents of a conversation which had taken place a few hours earlier. It was this manic infatuation with the fictional worlds he saw that fueled his life's other obsession, possessing the knowledge to turn what he saw into reality. He would stack rooms floor to ceiling with books of various topics and instruction, hard drives were filled with everything from the works of Shakespeare to institutionally geared recordings of brain surgeries. He never spent more then a few weeks absorbing all he could on a topic before moving on. One week he would be disemboweling microwaves for spare parts to build an Ion thruster, and the next he would be stacking concrete blocks for a forge, then he would watch Star Wars and build a handheld laser which could burn through wood. Eventually, he would grow bored and move on to his next project. This went on relatively unabated for a number of years, until he got into nuclear power. A short visit from the local authorities with some suits in tow ended the project rather abruptly. It was at this point when his weary family thought it would be good for him to spend some time away from densely populated areas with his aunt in Alaston. One short objection, a long drive, and two large suitcases filled with small tools and computer equipment later, Bishop found himself on his Aunt's farm (Farm #1) in the middle of nowhere, ALaston Iowa.

Roleplay Example: Currently playing in http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=234665 as Yuri. Haven't posted too much as of yet though, seeing as the bulk of what has occurred thus far is in a different location then my character.
