Sigma Octanus system

The fleet arrived without any trouble and quickly began setting up colonies on each of the worlds. There was a large crater on the fourth world from the sun, and said crater contained a mysterious artifact of unknown origin that appears to have crashed onto the planet quite some time ago. Soon after its discovery an ONI prowler confiscated the artificial and brought it to Earth for study.

Meanwhile, the UEG commissioned the colonization of yet another star system, Chi Ceti.

Many techpriests, and scientists flock to Cadia to investigate the Cadian gate in hopes of using it to open a hole in the storm allowing them to enter, and leave at will. Cadia was a perfect location for the gate since it was the most highly defended subsector in imperial space.

The first Vorcha regiments are beginning to receive training to massively boost the Empire's ground forces. Furthermore, another planet has been deemed worthy of Vorcha habitation. The planet is primarily arid and of little value to other species, and therefore justifiably perfect for the Vorcha. Vorcha upliftance still continues, although with some "speed bumps." The Vorcha as a whole either adapt to education and technology relatively well, or not at all. Those that cannot assimilate are either killed or enlisted in the army.

Illium

Illium, originally a Volus trading colony (despite having an oxygen-based atmosphere), has been deemed the first true inter-species planet. Illium is located almost precisely between the Yahg, Volus, and Kaminoans homeworld colony, making it a hive for trade. Consequently, the original Volus population was quickly joined by Kaminoans and Yahg seeking to make a fortune and live in vulturally diverse environment. On par with the Vorcha uplifting, certain sectors of the planet have been marked for Vorcha habitation.

The Miri-Voh Shiri had picked up on the scouts and hailed.

The small robotic probes do not respond instead they just cloak, and disappear from sight. Meanwhile 2 fleets belonging to the Blood Angles, and Salamanders jump to Cadia to provide extra protection.

The Miri-Voh Shiri picked up on the energy signature only for a brief moment until it disappear, the crew looked at each other before they went backed to Yirith with there findings.

With the search continues, Mandalore Sunry was in the main library of the Yith as he was researching more into the human known as H.P. Lovecraft, who by his own right, was a man who truly knew about the dimensions and even existence of gods and other races. He was reading a book called "Shadow over Innsmonth " until a Normadorian came in.
"Mandalore, we have checked on the massive energy signature and they have found a hole from the storm, it had this energy signature." Hands Nikko a datapad with the energy signature with the focus in his mind he saw the scout as it cloaked.
"It is something foreign yet similar in many ways, I want you to return trying to find any ruins with the Yith in them so we can preserve it."

With a hole in the storm opened several starforts were moved into position to provide protection incase anything decided to try to attack. Other than that the scientists turn their focus back to improving the terraforming process so they can use more planets sheltered by the storm instead of expanding outside the storm.

Yahg and Kominoan scientists have begun research into super-heated metallic weaponry for orbital and ship defenses. Given traditional Empire defenses, the MAC guns, the newly anticipated technology will be able to pierce shields as effectively as MAC guns, and also be used in replacement of plasma for planetary bombardment.

Synthetic construction forces have successfully built, operated, and turn over control of solar stations to Vorcha engineers on Heshtok. Given the extreme heat and sun radiation on Heshtok, solar energy was the natural choice. Sky scrapers are beginning to dot Heshtok's largest cities, and the Vorcha are learning the ins and outs of trade by the Volus.

The sangheili of Macragge finally start a construction project of their own: an orbital elevator that would link Macragge's orbital facilities thus eliminating the need for shuttles to ferry goods from the surface. They make the base of the elevator on one of Macragge's rocky spires. The sangheili had never really acomplished much but now they were going to do something.

An officer burst into the T'nars office "SIR! a stealth ship has entered our system and messaged us saying they have come for something!!" the T'nar stood up "I know.. get me my exoskelaton, and let them dock anywhere they'd like" the officer headed off for his gear, arriving shortly with it "here it is sir!" the officer brought it in on a hovering tray-like object "good, now let me get ready" and with that, the officer left, the T'nars suit folded around him, he then quickly took a katana like sword from a secret compartment in his offices wall, it was designed long ago as an anti-wolve weapon, it was extremely advanced, then the T'nar departed to the comm room, he hailed the ship "I believe you're here for something, you may dock"

The party of 1 Qo'nos class and 4 Stinger class ships was on its way to the warp storm.

"The Warp is an extremely volatile medium. At times, disturbances can turn areas of the Warp into raging storms of incomprehensibly destructive fury that can breach the barrier into realspace. Starships caught in these storms are likely at best to be driven far off-course and emerge back into realspace thousands of light-years from their intended destination in uncharted areas of the galaxy."


"What are your suggestions on how to get in and out?"


"Getting in is easy, you could just fly in. But getting out is a different story. We would need to leave a transport probe outside of the storm. The transporter is capable of beaming very large objects. Including starships as big as ours."

"Sounds good! Engineer Worf, what is the status of the Omega particle containment device?"

Engineer Worf spoke in a Khitomeric accent and said, "We have plenty of Boron to suspend the particle long enough to get it to the Planet of Doom. Though there is a 12% risk of explosion. If is did explode, it has the possibility to destroy the enitre quadrant. It has the destructive power of 10 supernova explosions."


"What about the possibility of hostile life inside the storm?"

The tactical officer said, "The possibility is quite high, and hell knows how powerful they would be. But i would recommend yellow alert."


"And what if it is the famed 'Emporium of man'?"

"There is little knowledge of them, but it is a possibility. From what we know they have very large vessels with formidable weapons."

The emperor was happy that they finally were able to open a hole in the warp storm allowing them to actually leave, but he remains cautious since a lot could change in the time they were isolated from the rest of the galaxy. Meanwhile on Cadia the techpriests begin connecting the pylons so they can be activated, and deactivated at once.

The Great Volus Project

Volus Councilors made headlines today after announcing their expensive, yet ambitious plan. They are calling for a system of warp gates to be constructed across Empire space, linking system to system. They argue this will greatly boost trade and the economy, as civilian ships could easily travel between systems without buying and maintaining expensive warp drives. The warp gates would be positioned near the suns of each solar system to draw their power, and launch ships to the outer portions of the select system. As of now, the Council has commissioned a prototype warp gate to be constructed to test its efficiency.

"We have been scanning for 14 hours now, any detection of the particle?"


Science officer Qu'qot said, "Nothing yet my Lord, the environment is perfect for one to exist, all we need to do is keep looking. We might have better luck if we entered the storm...."
Qu'qot was interrupted by a beeping at his console.

"Captain! I am detecting a hole in the storm! And a ship! Its huge! Kilometers long!"


"Battle alert! Ka'vak to ships, activate cloaking device and move away from the storm. Await further orders."

Inside the hole was a mass of activity. Hundreds of defense platforms some several kilometers long. There were also hundreds of massive ships patrolling the the hole in the storm. It was obvious that no one was getting in without their permission.

Infinity pulled out of dry dock months ahead of schedule. With a heavy armament and crew of 17,000, this 5.7 kilometer starship was the finest the UNSC had to offer. Capable of carrying ten Charon-class light frigates, the ship was fully loaded with them and with a fleet of 10 Marathon-class heavy cruisers entered slipspace to investigate the coordinates provided by the artifact found on Sigma Octanus IV, heading to something known as Installation 04.

Then wintston punched him.

senator Dominic sat in his office and read a contract he said to two corporation head's. "This military weaponry contract is satisfactory unlike that russian". then he shook there hands.

"Sir, i have detected the Omega particles signature! It is right next to the ships." Qu'qot said in excitement.

"Helmsman, lay in a course, we need tog et close enough to inert it into the Boron chamber."


Worf said, "But that would mean we would have to take off our cloak! We would be dust in a matter of seconds!"


"If we are destroyed, the Boron chamber will also, causing the Omega particle to explode and destroy the Quadrant. Now carry out my orders!!!!" Ka'vak said with confidence, "We will die in honor this day!"


The ships lurked forward on thrusters, until they were right next to the defense platforms.

The ship decloaked for 1 split second, the chamber enveloped a clump of gas, and quickly went under cloak again.

"Warp us to Planet of Doom Helmsman! Fire antimatter canisters to cover our engine signature."

The anti-matter canisters exploded and cause harmless explosions that destroy the engine trace of the vessels.
