My application for my next Nation:

Name of Nation: Unified Outer Territories
Home Planet: Tribute II
Form of Goverment: Democratic Republic.
Leader(s): Head of State John Holmes.
Senator: None.
Species: Human.
Planets: Tribute II, Canyon, Telos, Harvest II, Order, Exodus.
Superweapon: None.
Population: 38,000,000,000.
Army Size: 161,000,000
Fleet Size: 3000 ships
Strengths: The UOT has A powerful military, and powerful weaponry highly similar to the UNSC's military.
Weaknesses: the UOT's Tech is less advanced than most forces in the Galaxy.
Bio: In 2416, a group of territories owned by the Unified Earth Governments gained independance from the UEG after a bid for independance, which was accepted by Vote. The UOT still held alliance with the UEG and developed considerably as a seperate territory, the UOT developed it's own military technology, it used UNSC blueprints to develop it's own ships, it has it's own 'UNSC' known as the UTSC. The UTSC has it's own supersoldier program and operates similarly to the UNSC, in 2537 the UOT abandoned all contact with the UEG and has since remained developing it's military and maintaining peace.

Is this okay?

Some one should post seeing the Gate open, and it's effect.
The year’s at the spring,
And day’s at the morn;
Morning’s at seven;
The hill-side’s dew-pearled;
The lark’s on the wing;
The snail’s on the thorn;
God’s in His heaven—
All’s right with the world!

hi!

I'd like to join this, just wondering on a character concept; I have some ideas but if there is any 'role gap' kind of situation I'd be fine with that too. (Currently thinking some kind of dormant race, small in number but with it advanced tech, would explain why I join so late but it's still just a concept)
Any film can be improved with the addition of Morgan Freeman, even those with one already.

I don't want to pick any one so just who ever posts about it gets the Eve Gate in their space, and to pick the effects.

All new players start off weaker than the rest, but your timing is good because half the people here are restarting :p

And Chrome, just have the gate pop open in a lesser inhabited region of my space, you choose the effects, and I'll try not to assimilate you.

Brilliant, if the whole dormant race is ok I would suggest that I only have a few people to start off with, as to start off far weaker. if anyone here is exploring an installation they could discover some life pods, or they could just 'stumble' across some dormant ships. As for the numbers I would say that gradually with the sheer time spend dormant some life pods had been turned off as to save power for the rest.

Quick question, although we start off weaker (naturally) how long until we could catch up to 'regular' level? (I'm guessing it would be a while but I might as well ask.)

I'd be willing to stumble across an installation.

Also I really don't know but try to not do it too fast.

Seems fine except for the Fleet size, beginning players should have <10,000 beginning ships.

And as for becoming a " regular player," its entirely subjective to how active you are.

EDIT: As a note for superweapons, they are not automatically granted upon joining. I haven't even finished my superweapon project :blink:

Chrome, I've decided in order to avoid the soul crushing boredom of summer by trying EVE again. I'm stuck between going for a Salvager or Explorer, any advice?

You know I've always wanted to play EVE Online, but I never felt like I'd do all that well at it. I've never played WOW or any other massive multiplayer online roleplaying games so have no experience whatsoever on what to expect.
Generation 35, the first time you see this copy and paste it to your sig and add 1 to the generation number

EVE is different from other MMOs.

1. It is completely player run (politics, economy, etc.)
2. A MASSIVE learning curve
3. A lot of players, such as myself, never get passed mining, and thus get bored and quit.

If you wanna give it ago with me, my AP exams will be over in 2 weeks and we work together. (EVE is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring if you don't have friends)

Not to mention it involves massive amounts of grinding for stuff.

I'd say your numbers would have to be in the mid millions to be considered few or dwindling.

I think we have a good thing going here, we haven't had any godmodding and the RP is staying civil, and of fair quality.
