I used mostly nations on the OP and accepted nations, and based sizes according to the European Map and G-Tech's white map. I see two player blocks, a European and an Asian one. For real, a European player doesn't even touch an Asian player (Byzantine is totally European).

Payback for what? If the Byzantines still exist, the only payback that you'd need to deliver would be to the Germanic peoples...
