Both myself and Raven have heightened senses and I am the most paranoid of things out of the ordinary due to me being on a magic ship filled with magic people. I know it seems unlikely raven knows who Reina is but it's reasonable to believe that between us we have the analytical ability to spot the lack of a shadow in a well lit corridor.

We get through the voyage in one post for each of our characters so we get there quick. Can I just ask what the mashadari actually are? I mean they could be anything from shambling zombies to winged deamons that swoop down with anime style scythes and I usually pre-plan my posts.

Fear not, they're slightly less menacing than that

Mashadari are a form of a 'husk', a human that has been posessed by a demon. Zombified husks cannot withstand the life force of the demon, and basically become a Walking Dead zombie.
