24 April, 2013: Bio/Chem hazards scrubbed. Environment restored. City Planners meet to discuss rebuild. Other nations beginning to send construction materials, etc. (Ideas for structuring in OOC.)
26 April, 2013: Construction begins on underground areas; utility, roads, railways mapped out by city planners; supplies begin to arrive in tent city proper. It is decided (OOC) that the city will be modern rather than futuristic.
27 April, 2013: Underground construction completed. Buildings soon to go up. Military base and airport construction starts.
14 May, 2013: The Residents return to the Building.
The Co-OPS for this RP are Cerillium and Tiltjuice. Their word is law. They function as RP moderators for this thread. If you have a problem with a player that can't be solved via TG, take it to them. They serve as mediators. They have the authority to ask any player to leave for just cause. They also approve applications.
Ceril has over twenty years of RP experience. He's served as OP for multiple genre to include 40K, Steampunk, Battle Tech/Mech Warrior, AD&D, and other genre-specific games. He ran "FreeForum" for five years.
Tilt has many years experience on NS in various forums. He's served as OP for multiple genre, although most know (and love) him best for the NS RP "Walking Dead".

This is a mixed genre RP which allows you to play things that are near and dear to your heart. Other players may currently have characters that are part of your favorite genre... bear that in mind when you apply. Their establish canon takes priority.
If you sign up and are approved but don't post, your character is dropped from the roster.

New characters get an apartment to themselves. You can stay there or eventually find a roomie to share an apartment with.
You can play your characters as either serious or light. We're a mixed group.
Got a problem with a player? Take it to that player in TG to resolve it.
It's a fast-moving thread. It's okay to ask "where is everyone and what happened while I was gone?" in the OOC thread.
Please save earth-shattering adventures until the weekends. Earth-shattering would be any side-story that affects the entire house (blowing up the building, planet-wide invasions, world destruction, etc). Minor stuff (zombie attacks, localized plagues, genderbenders, etc) can be ignored by players who are offline.
You don't have to play everyday. Play as you can, according to your schedule.
What kind of character can I play: We have anthros, velociraptors, gods, demons, angels, cyborgs, robots, magic users and mystical beings, warriors/soldiers/super soldiers, average mortals, A.I.s, thieves, spies, emperors, mad scientists, and whatever Bones and his brothers are. Anime seems to be a big theme, followed by offshoots of various pantheons and fiction.
Please don't be a God Mode Sue. We have several powerful characters. They've evolved over time. They will kick your ass if you come in like gangbusters and try to dominate the thread. Look through the character tabs in the post below to gain an understanding of everyone's characters.
Please message Swith if you plan to play a god. There are specific guidelines in place to keep things in balance so non-god characters are treated fairly

New Players: Fill out the short application by clicking "select all" and pasting into a new post. Dabfia will be along shortly to approve it. Most characters hail from their own nation; your character does not have to be the embodiment (personification) of your nation. We need to know: species, a bit of background, what sort of abilities or powers, and reason for moving into the Building. Please refer to these rules if you intend to play a god, demi-god, demon, angel or anything supernatural.
Current Players: You still have to wait for approval if you want to bring a second character in at a later time. Please fill out the form for them so the character can be added to your IC tab. Send a TG to Swith or Cer with the OOC page number. Caveat: if you're playing a god or powerful being, please contact Swith to establish some boundaries to keep things smooth for all players.
This info is used for your character tab on the IC page. KEEP IT BRIEF. We only have only so much space. We reserve the right to deny any application.

CROSSOVER (not the one by John Edwards)
We're looking into doing a crossover with another P2TM group. It would be an encapsulated event on different IC/OOC threads.
REF: Nightkill. LOCATION: (possibly) Our current dimension/Bielefeld. DETAILS: planning stages at the moment.
Who can go? We obviously can't send everyone. Players will be limited to two characters at the most. Characters that are omnipotent must have their powers pulled back, so those currently at half-mast (you know who you are) would need to fly at quarter mast. Many will apply, few will be chosen.
How come? We're representing PL. I won't recommend any player who can't behave himself IC and OOC. Applicants need to be able to write more than one-liners. They also have to demonstrate that they can follow a busy thread (reading posts that don't belong to their scene).
Who gets chosen? Interested players will be asked to show us their paces. We'll open up Deux ex Machina. I'll give more details on that later.
Our off-site forum contains a bunch of RP advice. Every tip and trick we have listed there will be brought to the table in this crossover. If you want to participate, you'll need to follow basic RP player guidelines. Break that Wombat habits, peeps. If you can do that, you'll be participating in something awesome:
No omnipotent one-upping bullshittery. If you think you're a badass and you want to showboat your sorry self, PL Co-OPs will send your character home. This isn't a contest to see who the top dog is. The OP is ALWAYS the top dog.
Players will have to read other people's lengthy posts and react to them accordingly without metagaming.
I will NOT allow multi-colored fonts. Period.
No one-liner posts. Even dialog can be expanded upon to include the character's name and some sort of physical reaction.
Punctuation. Nix the *action* asterisks. Thoughts are usually italicized, bold is for grabbing attention, CAPS LOCK BOLD is really really LOUD!
Players may have to wait a while for an IC response. This will be a normal-paced RP thread that may only have one or two posts per player per day.
Every post needs to count towards the overarching story. You'll need to use the OOC thread to actually discuss stuff.
Couples will not be allowed if they can't go an entire day without cooing, simpering, snuggling, shuddering, groaning, grunting or whatever fucking nonsense they do to isolate them from the group. Couples will need to be actively engaged in the story in the crossover thread. Yes, you can have romance while still kicking ass. Our Fade to Black rule will be in use.
