I've still been having fun though, playing games I haven't touched for months or even years.....

I think I'm the only one with finals left, and my last one is on Friday. So, yeah.

today I was playing some Hegemony Gold: Wars of Ancient Greece. Its set during the classical era of Greece, and the main campaign is that of Philip of Macedon, Alexander the Great's father. He was the first person to truly unite the Greek city states under one banner, and laid the foundation of the later campaigns of Alexander. You play as one of the factions, in the main campaign, you play as Macedon.

there's a sandbox mode where you get free reign to choose one of the factions and expand your dominion over all of Greece and make yourself the Hegemon of Greece. Oh, and you are always at war unless you make a truce with another faction..... it only depends whether your defenses are good enough to deter any attacks, or if you are invading...

I suck at it though, and only play a few years before I get bored or overwhelmed by the complexity.... you control where every unit goes, there is compete freedom where to send them, as long as it isn't blocked Terrain..... since ts Greece, you can guess what my default defense tactic is for defending my territory.... blocking passes and territory with Hoplites or similar units and backing them up with Peltasts to devastate attacking troops!
