Out of curiosity GT, what FTL do you use? Nox would be looking to plunder technology to make hyperspace drives with a rating of 0, equaling infinite speed. Hell, even .5 would be a helluva an improvement.

Looking back, my characters have changed a lot.

Torii started out as an awkward, shy soldier, then a suicidal angsty teen, then a happy girl with hidden problems.

Katya was a quiet, antisocial antagonist, then a curious aristocrat, and now a social butterfly.

I feel like I should recapture the antagonistic side...

Better question. Why do the space ships bother with ground forces? You're supposed to nuke them/glass them FIRST. Then you send in the ground forces to mop up resistance.

Me too, but I still originally intended for Katya to be more of a "Nice antagonist".

Don't look at it from a tech level. Ewoks beat the hell out of seasoned Storm Troopers.

Look at it as characters being vigilant, so it's more difficult to sneak, and we're better organized as a team. Before, it was "OH NO ZOMBIE RAPTORS!" or whatever, and no one worked together to stop them. Now it's "Well, there are zombie raptors. Bran you scout their defenses, Tsu fly over and see how many there are, Prim organize ground forces" etc.

I have no idea what you are talkin' about...

Xeelees control multiple galaxies and back up their own timelines and realities in alternate timelines so things with a Time Machine couldn't go back in time and destroy them before they evolved. Culture are well, the fucking Culture.

Don't look at it from a tech level. Ewoks beat the hell out of seasoned Storm Troopers.

He's not a Warhammer fanatic, though. And there's no need for him to define how his ships work mainly because no one else really puts much thought into their own things. We take it for granted that they do, and that's fine for the PL setting.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am going to do this ahead of time and whatnot.. M'kay. I have divided the palace into important places for meeting and stuff. Now then, all of the rooms are the same, however, you can customize them and stuff and all of that good jazz... Anyway, here are the places:

Throne Room - Equivalent of the Lobby, where you would enter with a throne in it. Did I mention there was a throne in it?

Palace Dining Room - Not much other than it's a huge frikken dining room with plenty to sit. On the left side of the building (Assuming if you were looking at it from the front).

Recreational area - In the back of the building. Includes a dojo and from there, it breaks off into a pool/spa area off to the left, weight room to the right, and Virtual Simulation room directly across the dojo.

Living area - Right side of the building where there are a labyrinth of hallways and rooms.

Strip: The place that is two miles long and lays out front of the palace pass it's walls. With it are a Ch'as, a few kiosks and stores, and directly across is a parking garage for air vehicles.

Side note: Doors are automatic unless locked. Lights tend to come on down the hallway or room you enter, and kitchen is pretty much off limits since food is either brought to your room or to the dining room (And by food I do not mean the people bringing it). In the far back of the building there is a nice garden.
