I so totally agree with this post. These Guards are traveling with the fortune through a desert that has no trade routes or towns, and why would a group of bandits be hanging out in an unprofitable desert in the first place? It makes no sense.

Traveling through the desert to avoid taxes and whatnot was not an alien concept. The bandits may be expecting to find travelers, but not Mamluk officials.

Secondly. China, your ships arrived kinda of a bit to fast. I'll allow diplomatic relations but any trade agreements with countries will not be allowed until you IC post sending merchants and more than just exploring ships. And on this Dutch secret trade, Kengburg, you should have TGed me for my approval. Never post anything in that manner again without my seal of yes. And in random events I can make happen to your trade convoy. Now I'm not gonna be an asshole and do it but still. I want everyone to know that with giant trades and invasions many bad things can happen, good things can happen, but that is a small chance. Also no more secret operations of any kind without my approval are allowed. And Kengburg makes good points, backed up by Alleniana, but to be fair anything could have happened to this Secret Merchant Group.
