I've since declared war on the french to get rid of them, because fuck them, they're weak.
I haven't gotten anywhere near far enough to understand the vassal system. Basically at this moment Alexander hates Montezuma. So at first I got Alexanders help when Monty declared war on me. He then pussied out because Rome is on the other side and so we sandwiched him. Then Alexander declared war again and asked me for help.
Aztecs are so fucked.

Oh, are you playing Rhye's and Fall of Civilization, or an unmodded game?

Fair enough. I've actually completely stalled on my R&F game. My Japanese empire has completely consumed China, Mongolia is shaking at the knees and Europe either has no idea how fucked they are or they're suicidally bent on pissing my people off. But it's in some downtime, so I let it sit for a while.

Nice. I'm also rolling as the Japanese. The Aztecs are lucky as fuck. They have a tiny little island on my coast and I don't have navies yet.

Protip: Coastal cities, while more vulnerable, are by far the most profitable cities.
So just build a city next to the sea and I'll be able to build ships?
Also, Montezuma is desperate as fuck. He switched to slavery. It's hilarious how he asks for a peace treaty when I'm about to obliterate a city.
