Why are there no Hippopotas in the desert? They are the ultimate desertpokemons...

Try finding a cave in the desert.

I didn't put in many caves for one simple reason: So people could find more. So if you "happen" to find a cave, maybe in a rock outcrop or a sudden patch of sand that gives way to a tunnel, feel free to tell me the name of the cave you "discovered" and 1 - 4 Pokemon that live there.

I went ahead and added Hippopotus anyway. That is a pretty key desert Pokemon.

I dont mean to be a dick or anything but it just seems more fun for both people if the pokemon is random.

I do enjoy the RNG aspect but it is good to have a basic (and eternally incomplete) list of pokémon habitats.

Well random can also molest the theme of an area, for example, what of the best pokemon you RNG'ed for the desert was Sudowoodo or Nosepass?

And whenever I play the game I always want to know what I'm going to catch.

Like I said, I'm fine with RNG for non-special routes and unnamed patches of grass, but it can really be annoying sometimes...

Character History: Born from a small town, Isaac develop a taste of travel from his mother, and learning with his father. At the age 5, he met a rather friendly gastly living in the old abandon mansion nearby. They became best friends, with Isaac simply letting him do what wants most of the time. At the age of 12, he started his journey of the Harvor region.
Pokemon: Gastly
Pokemon Description: A normal gastly with a knack of sleight of hand tricks
Character Goals: Simple traveling, learning about many things of the world, to do his interests basically
Anything Else?: There are mysterious robberies in the places he traveled, but he's not under suspicion. How he was able to sustain his lifestyle, however, is rather questionable, due to either the no or low income from what he does, which is practically freelance.
