"Leave," he said.

After she finished doing that, she carefully removed the magazine to check the if the amount of round inside.

That's good for me, because now I can confess something to you. As many might not believe, I had nothing to do with the murder of Decatur, but good riddance to him. The car pulled up to the club and Stephens let his client led him into the building. Once settled into a table, the lawyer went to work:

"The first few days are often the most tumultuous, so, it'd be best if we lay out the groundwork of our strategy first. From now on, I need you to become like the three wise monkeys, that is; you will see no evil, you will hear no evil, and most importantly, you will speak no evil. While you're resting, I'll be working in conjunction with your PR people, and if and when we decide it'd be prudent to release a statement, we'll contact you."

He reached into his pocket and withdrew his business card, slipping it to Skinner. "Now, the police is slightly more complicated. You'd technically be an accessory to murder, which in this case, would most likely mean if convicted you'd be given three years in prison. That's three years on paper mind you, y'know I'd be surprised if you served half of that behind bars. Now the police, in the case they know your connection, will be putting some pressure on you. They'll tell you things like, uh, say... if you give up the culpable party, they'll get the courts to downgrade your charge to a misdemeanour-- something along those lines. Don't say yes, obviously, but don't say you don't know anything either. Just say you'd like to have your legal representative present, and get them to call this number." He said, tapping on his card.

With the vehicle's keys in hand, one of the mechanics walked over to the trunk of the vehicle and unlocked it before opening it up. The mechanic smelt something foul as he opened up the trunk, and was confronted with a decomposed, bloated corpse of a middle-aged man. The mechanic slowly stepped back. Carved into the body's chest was "SNITCH".

"Detective, can you come here for a second?" the mechanic asked. "There's something you should see."

Lewina wrote:Brandon got out of his car and walked over to the gardener. "Excuse me! Is this Councilman Dalton's house? I'm Brandon Arrington from the NMPD," he explained pulling out his badge and showing it to the gardener real quickly.

The gardener stopped the lawnmower and looked at the cop, who was waving his badge around. Mr. Dalton wasn't home either, as he, Skinner, and Radford were all good friends, and likely at the Ceballo.

"Not here sir," the gardener said. "The Ceballo Arms."

The car would bring them to the Northport Tower, which was the largest skyscraper in the city. The two men boarded the elevator, and were brought up to a rooftop cafe, where other businessmen walked around and drank while taking in the view of the skyline and listening to Bossa Nova music. A waitress led the two men to a table, where they sat down. After bringing them some Johnny Walker Blue Label Scotch and two glasses with 3 ice cubes each, the waitress walked away. As Stephens talked, Skinner poured himself a glass of scotch. While the lawyer brought up the police, he smirked.

"You see that fellow at the table behind you?" Skinner asked. "That's the Commissioner. You see, this is a private club, where the city's most influential men and women chill at. Some of the men here at the Ceballo Arms are responsible for what happened today. Could you have guessed that the city's most influential men would want a crusading white knight to die? Hell, even the Commissioner knows what's going on. He's on our side, but the MCU is the problem here. The only law enforcement unit we need to worry about is the MCU, as that Detective Lynch fellow doesn't like to play by the rules. The men here need to keep the status quo, and men like Decatur would only ruin the economic base of the city. His dogs Lynch and Sherwood, and the rest of the MCU will stop at nothing to bring us down."

That's where Radford may be, is probably at. Is Skinner there? Brandon thought. He recorded a few things in his notebook:

Ceballo Arms, a private club where rich people meet. Could leaders of crime syndicates go there? I'll need to check this place out, I may find something interesting there.

"Thank you sir," Brandon said putting his notebook, pen, and badge back. "Do you mind if I wait here until Mr. Radford returns?" He asked.

Debra quickly ran over to the mechanic, hearing his shouts, she smelt the body before she saw it, that stomach churning that after four years working in homicide you could never get used too, Debra began to feel slightly woozy, the smell always had the same effect. "Alright, step away from the trunk and don't touch anything, I'm going to call this in." Debra quickly rushed back to her car and grabbed her CB radio. "This is detective Debra O'brian, I've got a one-eighty seven down at the police impound, I need the coroner and a crime scene investigation team down here now." she demanded down the radio before heading back over to the car and began examining the body, the word snitch was engraved into his chest, it was clear that it was a gang killing.

The mechanic stepped back, and within 5 minutes of Debra calling in the 187, a squad car and the NMPD CSI van pulled in. The CSI team got down to business rather quickly, taking pictures of the corpse and checking for evidence. One of the CSI Detectives approached Debra.

"Detective Alderman, CSI," he said. "This was the car used in the shooting of the Councilman, right?"

The detective turned around to look at the decomposed corpse. It looked to be at least a week old, but the car might have been damaged in the chase. It seemed to have been beaten up in a wreck, and that might have damaged the corpse.

"At least a week," the detective said. "We'll also need to determine the cause of death, and whether or not the victim was damaged in any sort of chase that might've damaged the car.

Michelle being fed up with paper work, grabbed her keys and against Jed's wishes, started to drive to the raid. Michelle picked up the warrant on her way, and everything was squared away. The warrant was to cover the house, surrounding property, garage, and any vehicles on the property. Michelle dialed Jed's number as she sped down the road, running red lights and cutting of a few cars every now and then.

"Jed, it's Michelle. Listen I have the warrant. You and your team stand down until I arrive. I should be there momentarily." Michelle said, then she hung up the phone before Jed could even reply.

Brandon smirked. "If you see him when he comes home call me," Brandon told him writing down his phone number on a small piece if paper. He gave it to the Gardner. "I'll be on my way now, if you leave let me know, if you see him come home let me know. Have a good day," Brandon told him before getting back into his car. He drove to the nearest pizza place, once he got there he ordered a steak & cheese sub.

By the time Michelle called, Jed had already left the MCU with his team, and the raid was already underway. The building in question was a small, one-story house. Both the back and front entrances were breached, and the gangbangers were subdued without a shot. As Jed walked through the house, he spotted illegal firearms, drugs, and cash all over the place. Even if these gangbangers weren't the right guys, Jed would be putting some drug dealers behind bars. After holstering his pistol, he checked his cell phone and listened to the voicemail from Michelle before calling her back.

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but we already commenced the raid," he said.

Detective Hong Li Tsien drove to a spot outside Northport, it was nowhere near MCU, but it was a stop he had to make. He pulled over on to a shoulder and walked across the road, through a small wood and ended up on a promontory little bluff overlooking the city. He would hear anyone crunching through the underbrush and twigs behind him and see anyone driving up the road or approaching him from three other angles. He pulled out a phone, which was not his regular cell, and dialed.

"This is Brown Wolf. Five moons. One star."

"This is Sea Snake. Three stars. One moon."
A slight pause on the other end.
"Why has it taken so long to check in, Brown Wolf?...And why are you calling from...there?" Sea Snake had one of the master phones that had auto tracking on the other slaved phones. They were special encrypted satellite phones. Unlike the normal standard boxy, bulky sat phones, these looked like your average up-to-date smart phone. It was Chinese military technology reverse engineered off of Japanese technology. A whole crate had disappeared off a PLA manifest after a nice bribe to a susceptible People's Liberation Army Major. Now the Triads owned the crate and its contents. They had an expert reprogram them especially for their operations.

"I wasn't given much chance. I've been busy on assignments and settling in. The Department transferred me here until the fallout from the operation blew over."
Like Sea Snake, he was being careful not to throw out names and places, despite the encryption working.

There was a chuckle on the other end.
"I thought they perceived the operation went very well for them."

"They did, but they're still scared of you." He meant the organization, not just Sea Snake.

"They should be. Well you can still do some good from there. We don't have a lot there, but some foot soldiers pushing product. You can help take out some rivals, and get some kudos in the process."

"OK, I guess that answers my next question. Did you order a hit here recently? A councilman."

"Ah. I heard about that in the news. No, that was not ours. Feel free to go after and take them out. Especially, the F-man." He meant Feldman. "He's getting in our way on coastal operations."

"Understood."

"Anything else?"

"No."

"Try to check in on time, Brown Wolf. Don't make us worry."

"I will."

Hong clicked off the phone. Taking another minute to take in the view before heading back out the trees, Detective Tsien sighed. There was no way out. He was fated to this track and he would play his part.
He went back across the road and climbed in the car, pulling back on to the road. It was a short drive back into town. Arriving at MCU, he looked for Michelle to give whatever assistance he could. He also looked around for any of the others on the case, especially Debra, who had probably made some headway by now.

After calling in the Gang Control Unit and gathering computers and possible evidence related to the murder, Jed had the criminals transported to the station, where they were all housed in separate cells in order to prevent them from conjuring up a fake story. Jed immediately approached Michelle once he got back, handing her a manila folder, a briefcase containing $500,000, and 4 computer hard drives. He then called the team back to the MCU so that they could get assessments of the day and conclude the day by interrogating the suspects.

"I can see why Dan took a liking to you. You don't wait, you take the initiative. Very well then, I'm heading back to MCU. I'll meet you and your team there. We need to gather what evidence we have, question the detainees and try to make sense of all this. Good job." Michelle said as she flipped a bitch and headed back to the office.

Jed came back to MCU and handed Michelle a ton of evidence. "Thank you, I'll have forensics take a look at the hard drives, maybe they'll find something useful." Michelle called forensics who took the hard drives away, the rest being taken into the evidence room. Michelle wrote down all the evidence and suspects on a white board and waited for everyone to get back to the office.

Hong walked up to her after studying the suspect boards and trying to update himself on the other ends of the case. He had a water bottle in one hand.

"Hey Michelle...where we at? You need me to sit in on some interrogations?"

"Sure, Jed brought in a few hoodes from the raid. Debra turned up a damn body and we're trying to see if any of it is connected. Go see if Jed needs help interrogating the suspects." Michelle said as she studied the board.

"OK, on it." Hong walked to the other end of the station. He caught sight of Lynch as he was busy checking a computer and dropping some files on a desk. He had a lot to juggle. "Jed, I heard you might need extra enforcers for the interrogation. I'm here to help."

"Right now, I wanna get everyone here and give a briefin' b'fore we go out and interrogate these suspects," Jed said. "You'll be with me, and so will Miss Sherwood."

Michelle walked up over to Jed and heard that he wanted her involved in the interrogation. "Well Jed, we'll tackle this thing head. I'm sure with your brute force, you'll be able to get information out of those hoodes rather quickly."

Michelle didn't like how Jed approached things, but his actions produced results and they needed to get a lead on Dan's murder as soon as possible.

"Actually yes, I do mind," the gardener said. "Not that I have anything against law enforcement, but it's kind of nerve-wracking to have a cop watch you mow the lawn, you know?"

"All right, if you guys find anything useful, gimme a call on this number." Debra said quickly handing over her card. "I've got a suspect to interview, so can I leave this stuff to you?" Debra asked before looking over his shoulder again to look at the disgusting rotting corpse. "Looks like council mans murder keeps getting worse and worse. " She muttered to herself.

"Go ahead," the CSI detective said as his colleagues began to lift the decomposed corpse into a body bag. An ambulance had shown up, and the body would be taken to the coroner's office for the autopsy of the cadaver.

"Alright, I hope we find the bastards that did this and nail em to the wall, see you later." Debra said with a some aggression peaking in her voice, Debra climbed into her car and quickly drove out of impound heading back to the office, the drive was only five minutes but it gave her time to think about the case, the body in the trunk was meant to be found and she had the feeling that it was either a councilman or a cop that couldn't keep his mouth shut. "Thank fuck I didn't open it in the street." she said to herself, it was meant clear message to the city. You don't talk or you'll end up dead and rotting in a trunk for a week, Debra had the overwhelming feeling that the murders were much bigger than it looked.

Debra parked up in the police employees parking lot before heading inside and taking a seat at her desk, considering what to say to the suspects.

Once all of the detectives had returned to the MCU office, Jed walked to the front of the room, looking at his fellow investigators as they waited for him to brief them. It was time to conduct the interrogations of the suspects.

"Alright, we got around 5 suspects and a fuckton of evidence," he said. "We don't know for a fact if these men killed the Councilman, but we're gonna assume they did. O'Brian, you and Arrin'ton will take the guy who got caught with the murder car. Sherwood and Tsien, y'all are with me. Comprende?"

After the short debriefing, Jed wanted Michelle to help with the interrogation of one of the suspects. Michelle nodded in reply and walked with Jed and Tsien to the to one of the interrogation rooms.
