I'm figuring since it's wartime I can go past the 5%, and it's been 20 years since I've conquered Iberia. Many have been converted. But let's compromise. 300,000?

On the west flank, due to the position on the ridge, the allies have an extreme advantage. They make a shield wall and push the Rus. back with great power.
The cavalry ram into the rear of the Rus. attackers.
There are mild casualties among the men from crossbow fire, but their shield hold.
The Dane lancers succeed at distracting the crossbowmen long enough for their archers to unleash thousands of arrows upon their ranks. Their broad-heads are like fishing hooks and cause more damage and pierce right through the kite shields of the crossbowmen.

I have a couple problems with this post Hydrichastan.
1) I RPed my men arriving on the ridgeline, meaning they are on even ground with your forces. Furthermore your forces on your west flank are cavalry, meaning they can't make shield walls. Which leads us to....
2) Your cavalry would have to manuever down the the ridge and around five thousandish men in order to strike the rear of my forces, in which time the Great Russian forces would have time to manuever as well.
3) The riders are firing at your Danish cavalry, as are my crossbowmen. No one is aiming up the hill at your men with shields right now.
4) The crossbowmen are firing from behind kiteshields which are partially imbedded in the ground- distraction isn't an issue- since crossbows are two-handed in the first place. Furthermore, how do I outnumber your men with more specialized archers and yet you can fire in a higher volume than my 3000ish bowmen of various kinds?
5) Finally, broadhead arrows were meant to severely wound lightly armored targets- not pierce armor. Their heads are actually broader than normal arrows, hence the name, which means they spread their force across a larger area and that they are less effective than regular arrows at penetrating shields/armor, not more.

When was the last PvP battle before this? I don't believe there was one since the Pisan-Florentine War.

On that note, you should totally send some Kievan sailors and shipbuilders up to Ruga. Great Russia can fight on land, but our naval men are inexperienced, though stalwart.
I can sail some Long Ships up Via The Dnieper and tributaries and march some men up on the roads. OH MY GAWD! G, We have to start a Inter-Pact Road System!
