So wait, if everyone fled during the battle, where did those ten thousand go?

To their homes, throughout Georgia, and if they lived in Peachtree Creek/Atlanta, they then fled along with the rest of the inhabitants to a neighboring town that wasn't being fought for.

So wait, how many more soldiers do you have stockpiled, and why aren't they going north to defend the capital? I mean, I can understand why a few would stay back, but most would have gone North by now, don't you think?

Because these things take time and people tend to want to defend the area they're from. Some guy in Brunswick, Georgia, is probably not that interested in walking north for a week to defend Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He's interested in defending Georgia. The people who live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware- they'll be interested in defending Philadelphia . And even if our hypothetical Georgian really wanted to defend Boston, that would take a lot of time and effort and that doesn't really militarily make sense, to use a bunch of food and supplies shipping some guy to one area only to then leave that area totally undefended.

So the revolutionaries are not operating with much of a central command structure anymore?

Well, with several leaders already dead, it's almost every man for himself at this point. Congress still sits in Trenton due to the danger in both Philadelphia and New York, but that may not last long.

I don't know, that's up to Ruri.

Like the French Resistance, or the Viet Cong, or the FLN, or al-Qaeda, would fight: random attacks on British forces, hide in the woods or among the populace, pick off loyalists, destroy and capture British resources, with bits of frontal military-style resistance.

Yeah, Russia's been left well alone. Japan is too busy creating a trade network with Britain, China and the Dutch. Britain is too busy putting down the Americans, Austria is too busy bickering with Prussia, etc.
