With this came crime. The typical mugging, the armed robbery. Most were easiky put down by the local law enforcement assigned to the moon city, putting these criminals in their place. However, one man in particular stands out among the typical scum that makes up the criminal underworld of Odeys.
Vittorio Ciaccio, at 58, is obviously an aged man, with all the experience that life bestows on a man. Unique in that his family had strong ties to the Italian Mafia, the famous criminal organization that reached the peak of its power in the 1950's, in the major cities of the United States and Italy itself. Since that era 200 years ago, the Mafia has fallen out of power, and has been largely inactive on a large scale for quite the tine. However, Vittorio has changed the organization for the better.
His arrival in the city had been a start, when he brought the idea of family and a code of honor to the common street criminals of the city. It started with small scale operations, but he soon grew to be one of the most powerful men in the city. His fsmily has grown to be influential in the government as well, to the point that they could overturn a court ruling with the flick of a wrist.
The law enforcement has begun to take a stand, with the LAI being formed, the Lunar Agency of Investigation. Some remain corruptible, but others have a genuine goal to rid the streets of the organization.
Alright, ther you have it. Before we begin, this is a 50's -esque interpretation of the future. Boozing, smoking, gambling, adultery, IN SPAACE! Not to mention, sweet looking future-y sun machine guns similar to the Thompson, flying versions of sleek cars such as the '57 Bel Air, etc, and other Mafioso classics. Just an idea I thought about for a bit, and decided to post.
The Mafia applicants wil begin on the top floor of a casino owned by Ciaccio, before the ceremony to make them 'made men,' official members of the mafia. This being a resurrection of the old organization, you must be Sicilian/Italian to be an official member, others wool be associates. The exception that Vittorio has made is that woman are allowed into the organization.
The law enforcement will start somewhere in the city, hanging out, investigating a crime, whatever they feel.
