The New World-Present day New England

It had been 3 months since they were in Spain. They had sailed miles on miles and days on days. Then on the 84th day they came across land. It was not a small island though but a large landmass. Stretching and flowing miles of coast. The Spanish captain ordered to dock at a point where trees were scarce and there seemed to be some food. After docking they rowed to shore a 50 man expedition crew. They swiftly began to setup small tent and other things. That was three weeks ago and now two ships had returned to Spain for more supplies and more ships would be sailing to this new world. Houses had been built but they were small and made of cheap plaster and wood. The warm hot days made work hard but also happy that it was not cold.

The most one Spanish Galleon could accommodate is probably 35 - 40.

Besides, taking 30.000 people to a land not settled before is a sure death sentence. There would be no way to feed all those people, and they would starve almost instantly. Even if you had farms to begin with, it wouldn't be enough to provide. Virginia, one of the first colonies in the northern Americas, didn't have the infrastructure and provisions to feed 6.000 people, even after thirty years of contineous expantion of farm land.

History of Nation (If no effort is put into the history of your nation then don't expect to be accepted): Dearest Karl wasn't so lame, and actually managed to hold onto the throne. By fate, the nobles supported him in his claim on Norway, and troubles in Denmark prevented the Danish from effectively resisting. Consequently, Karl maintained the throne of Sweden and Noway (and, you know, ownership of Swedish Finland). He proceeded to finish the conquest of the Lapps, and his offspring managed to consolidate the empire somewhat, before it was passed to /his/ son, Ulrick Bonde. The Offspring also managed to eat the Batlic States/Teutonic States, because I'm greedy.
Basic Summery of Current Situation: Ulrick has been on the throne for the last five years, having assumed it shortly after the natural death of his father... when he was 16. So, he's 21 now, and seeks to expand his country's borders further, as well as gain territories he sees as Sweden (eyes Denmark). Over the near century it's been, Norwegians have come to see the Swedish king as somewhat legitimate, mostly following a series of failed revolts.

History of Nation (If no effort is put into the history of your nation then don't expect to be accepted): The Kingdom of Scandinavia was formed in 1066, when the Danes and Norwegians were defeated at the Battle of Stamford Bridge. They decided to unite, and have conquered Sweden and the northern Holy Roman Empire, while preserving the Viking Culture. In 1309 AD, there was a revolution. It first started in Copenhagen, then spread through all of the Southern region (Denmark and Schleswig-Holstein). At first, it seemed the revolutionaries would lose, but that was until the bloody Second Battle of Copenhagen, were they one a sup rising victory, being outnumbered 4 to 1. They one thanks to the genius of their General Olaf Rasmussen. After that, they swooped on every city until they met the danger of General Larssen at Stockholm. It seemed the revolutionaries would all die, until General Rasmussen employed a young mercenary by the name of Hans Dietrich. Dietrich is widely considered one of the greatest military commanders in history. Using several of his own strategies, the Battle of Stockholm was barely won and General Larssen captured. Another revolutionary movement in the far north had begun a year before, and the two movements decided they would merge, when battling a the capital, Oslo. As planned, General Dietrich and his soldiers were to make a few weak attacks on Oslo. Then, the other revolutionaries entered, and then both forces fought their very best. This strategy worked, and the government was then overthrown. In the end, General Rasmussen became King with Dietrich as his deputy. They also preserved the Viking Culture, and installed a certain level of democracy. Under the great Kings, the Kingdom of Scandinavia is thriving and very powerful.
Basic Summery of Current Situation: They are currently at peace, and instating a level of democracy unlike any other nation (In the 1500s). It's super cold burr... You know, I think I'll get my coat.
