The Germans aren't very strong, like half their land is Roman so they have less than half of their traditional strength (The Romans whooped them to push this far)

Yeah, but they were not united into one army were they?

and the map shows Rome at its height. the german tribes were too powerful for rome to ever fully defeat. same with the ones in central europe. the german tribes WERE powerful, they were just not as united as Rome.

Nay, the Romans didn't give a crap. You're saying that an empire of 50 million united, strong and with excellent military, administration, etc. couldn't defeat some warlike barbarians of around 5 million at most? They didn't care, why invade thickly forested cold Germany when you can go take over Nubia, a land of slaves and gold or Parthian territory, cultured and rich?

They never took over Parthia or Nubia either. they were also too strong. and they tried many times to conquer Germania. each time they failed. the battle of Tetoburg forest was the worst loss in all of Roman History.

The germans were the ones that destroyed the empire as well you know.

Edit: and there were millions in each tribe. its not like they were tiny groups, they fought Rome directly many, many times.

What?
Anyway, the Romans were spread out too far to be able to do that and were weakening, but in this timeline, the emperor was strong and subdued the Germans and also gained extra strength with the collapse of Parthia. They don't have time for Nubia, but if this China war hadn't come, they would have pushed into Germany, Nubia and Scotland, eventually taking all of Germany, Nubia, all the British isles, bits of Parthia and then eventually east into Asia and south in Africa.

Atticus(my character) is going to talk to the emperor

One strong emperor wouldn't have made that much of a difference. that doesn't change demographics or other people in history.

Several strong emperors, because in a single battle stuff changes. e.g., Battle of Britain. A single battle. It could've lost or won WW2 resulting in a possible Nazi Europe, even Nazi controlled massive empire. A single battle. In this, the Roman army got lucky, smashed the German faces in and went on with their business.

still.... The emperor wouldn't have changed the generals. the generals were the ones that actually did the fighting not the Emperor.
