Fortu didn't make the connection. "He's tough, and has thick skin." Fortu said and cooked his meal.

"If you say so," Chrys said, after finishing the yogurt. "What's for lunch there?"

"Pork chops." Fortu replied and turned them over in the pan.

Natiya was backflipping down the halls, part of a dare to see if she could actually do it. Unfortunately, a foot blocked her path as Bran tripped his sister lovingly. "Hey, Nat!" Bran snickered as Natiya righted herself, a bruise on her nose.

"You're an idiot." She sighed.

"Yeah, I know."

[Giovenith]

Naomi returned to the building carrying a large glass jar filled with tiny lights. One light darted around the jar and the others appeared to be attacking it. They sliced at it savagely before retreated to let it reform, and then the whole process started again. Naomi smiled at the jar and brought it downstairs. She locked the door, set the jar on the counter and went upstairs to take a nap.

"Are those fireflies?!" Giovenith popped out from a nearby pot plant, spilling dirt everywhere. She was nomming on a carrot.

Torii was exploring the building again. She was carrying the crusty old teddy bear from yesterday, who's fur, while still rough, was much softer and cleaner after a washing by Katya. Torii had hugging it tightly, but was also looking pissed, just waiting for someone to say something about it.

"C'mon, Mr. Bear, if anyone wants to say somethin' about it, Im'a go upset their forehead."

Katya was curled up on the couch in the lobby. Her thick book was laying on the floor next to her, and she was reading a light novel quietly.

Dimitrus was nowhere to be found. There was a news report about the boy mercenary from last night, who had snuck out of town.

*Aleki was walking down the halls reading the newspaper with the article on the one man leaving town in it.*

"Like wise with you, sweetness."*He cut the beast down the center then stopped to grab gloves. He then grabbed some surgical scissors and reached into in through the open part and started cutting around the organs getting all of the muscle and blood vessels attached before pulling out each organ.*

Swith watched, fascinating with the whole process. She spread more newspaper on the bench and found something to hold the organs in.

"I've got it," Blythe smiled and took a bar rag from Superbia. "They come to see you, not me. I'll clean up this mess so you can work your stuff." She kissed his cheek and then found a broom.

*He continued to remove the organs of the animal. By the time he was done, he had blood going all the way up to his elbows.* "Done." *he said triumphantly. He took the liver and handed it to Swith.*

"Oh, it's okay, i'm use to cleaning up a broken glass." *he said as he bent down and placed the pieces of glass in his hand.*

Fortu turned off the stove and put the pork on his plate and poured the juices over it. Shadowy thoughts told him to rip his food apart with his teeth. But Fortu had to reming himself that he was not like that. He used a fork and knife.

"Well, that's strange. I saw nothing. Did you, Tasia?" Dia turned to the other trooper, who also shook her head.

Chrys went in and tucked the folded suit and pants under the book. "Hi again!"

"Huh..." NVE said and looked at his drink. He sniffed it. "Well that explains it." he added and lit a match. The drink caught on fire and burned furiously.

"Hey...you. Thanks for helping save NVE." Fortu said not knowing the stranger's name. He placed some raw meat on a plate before he realized that he should cook it. Fortu tossed it on the stove.

"Why does that burn so well?" Jacob asked.

"Huh..." NVE said and looked at his drink. He sniffed it. "Well that explains it." he added and lit a match. The drink caught on fire and burned furiously.

"Why does that burn so well?" Jacob asked.

Katya grabbed an unopened bottle of Eastern Beer.
