Brief Description of your nation's History:

The Skrael Coast was founded due to the exploration of various Norse explorers in the New World. Their attempts to establish settlements were unsuccessful until the city of Nye Hjem was founded. It's defensible, central(In the Americas.) position allowed it to rapidly become a center of trade. After it's success, many merchants and trappers started settlements from Vinland south to Nye Hjem. Until very recently the Skrael Coast was simply a loose organization of trading communities and outposts, but the establishment of a mercantile system led to the declaration of one nation. This became the Skrael Coast.

Many of the people who lived in the early, failed settlements of the Skrael Coast moved on to form the nation of Rohnst. These settlements were rebuilt from the ground up by the Skraelen merchants who transformed the damaged towns into trading outposts and trapping stations.

Brief Description of your nation's economy:

The economy of the Skrael Coast is very much trade oriented. Other than it's status as a trade power, the Skrael Coast is also known for it's fishing and trapping industries. It has one of the most stable economies in the Americas.

Brief Description of your nation's government:

The Skrael Coast is a Merchant Republic. An elected leader, known as a Konsul is chosen by the upper class to handle the economic and political affairs of the realm. This leader has the power to declare war and appoint military leaders. Other than His power, there is also a parliament of thirty randomly selected merchants, who have even greater power when exercised unanimously.

The Nation's populace is primarily Native American due to the rather recent creation of the nation. Despite this, the government is entirely ran by Scandinavians. This hasn't caused much of a political issue yet, but there still lies the sleeping issue of ethnicity.

Most of the population have jobs as farmers or fishermen, with craftsmen, merchants and trappers making up the rest of the primary jobs.

Not a colony. Vinland was a real place in the 1000's. Anyways, it's not like I'm saying that I'm a nation the size of Russia with the population of China established inhabited by 100% Hungarians. No. The nation is primarily Native American, and based off of a genuine historical colony. I'm not affiliated with a European power, anyways.

Apparently, the RPer of the German Empire wants me to stop your expedition from reaching the new world, for as of yet unexplained reasons: I agreed, given that having a relative superpower on my side would be useful. The whole 'stop the pirates' thing was simply a ploy to get your expeditionary ships into my port, where the Germans could presumably sabotage your operation, or sink them when they left harbour again.

Well, Brandenburg did shoot down its only possibly ally really willing to side against others for it when the nation sent pirates against Prussia. Particularly since Finland seems to be more friendly with everyone, the German Empire wants to unite the Germans, and Muscovy-he is temporary gone so I am keeping his nation to answer issues, has been trying to align with Germanu, with whom he shares exclusive trade rights in my nation, and Prussia, its neighbor.

I thought so too but people have been asking about it and makingbsuggestions so I was not sure if it still was. Though I still prefer, if we must have a set correlation, it is by RL day representing a set number of months or such to prevent flooding and give everyone a chance to post.

But seriously, the map needs better organization. I can't update the map because I can't even keep up with the OOC. Sorry. And also, my average post is about 5-10 lines long. And everyone else's posts are much longer. That's why I wanted to help in some other way.

Due to the veritable dead-zone of NPC's in Greece, I'll switch to the Frisian NPC, and DM Athens from a distance when necessary. Will get an app up in a bit.

EDIT: I'll keep the nation established by its previous owner the same as in his app; and have it go through a bout of Civil War ICly, and get a revised application up at the end of the war.
