Prussian men are a tad bit whiter than their English brethren, and are taller. More like le Nords and Russies.

Damnit, was abou to post, but then I got done myself too drunk to make a comprehensible IC post. Sorry Cascadia and Novacom, whose letters I'll have to address. You'll get your answers when I've gotten sleep and sobered up.

I have just yesterday come to understand more about my nations religion, and have decided that to support my authoritarian government, to just change a little about my ruler so he will be seen by the people as a sort of man god, who fused his soul with that of a spirits, giving him divine insight and authority. This wont actually effect much other than my foreign policy I suppose, so does anyone have an issue with this?

Don't worry, I've been pressured by Bering (German Empire) to 'help' you settle the dispute.

Good, because I was planning to have you join my side anyway by manuevering Prussian ships to where the pirates would fire on Copenhagen.

I'm just doing what's best for my country.

That being said, y'all need to slow down: to avoid pretty much exactly what it happening (namely, the Danes interfering), the pirates would not have chosen to attack close to Danish lands. The intercept location would probably be in the narrow portion between Malmo and Sassnitz. If that failed, the closest they would dare to go would be twenty miles out of the Oresund/Copenhagen, which is still way out of LOS.

Furthermore, if the Danes did intervene, the pirates would just high tail it out of there. They're not going to agree to search and seizure by the Danes, that's for sure.

Edit:

It also means that the pirates won't be firing on the city, if anyone is wondering.

1495 certainly sound reasonable after failed mapping attempts lost ships getting lost and finally discovering land and then sending over another ship to verify that all adds up and sounds reasonable to nobody should be landing in the new world for several pages at least...

Historically, Most countries joined the Colonizations in the 1600s...

sooo Early 1500s to Late 1600s would be a reccommended start for a colonial nation

So my country will start it's official colonization in the 16th century

out of curiosity Kerb how do you have ships going to Asia let along a company for it when the only sea route that way from Europe that didn't involve going round america wasn't even discovered fully yet by this point, the furthest ships from Europe had gotten was the cape hope south Africa 2 years before this starts :P

Alright, finally got time to write up an actual post now. How should I start off?
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

Are signups still open for this RP?

In the event that they are, what are my choices for nations? Is it preferred that I make my own or would you rather me come in as a former NPC?
