Brief Description of your nation's History:A conglomerate of nomadic tribes since time immemorial, the Tuareg people have lived off the unspoiled lands of the Sahara Desert in almost total isolation. Though they have always had a connection with their coastal Berber cousins to the north, the biggest impact to Tuareg society had to be the coming of Islam, brought by Arab traders in the late 1st Millennium. United by religion and threatened on all sides by various tribes and empires, the Tuareg people united, ready to shape their own destiny. Always thought to be a fringe threat, the decaying owners of Timbuktu were unprepared for the sudden invasion of the Tuaregs, who conquered the city and forged their own kingdom, now called Azawad.
Brief Description of your nation's economy: Primitive by Western standards, Azawad is struggling to modernize their ancient practices. Thankfully, centuries of trade has given the Tuaregs a natural edge in negotiation and barter. Azawad's economy is primarily based on trade with foreign kingdoms, suppling the saharan region with many luxury crafts and grain.
Brief Description of your nation's government: Though it has no formal constitution or even law system, Azawad is federation of the Tuareg tribes, run by a supreme chief, elected by the chiefs of each tribe. His authority is absolute, but generally has the approval of the lesser chiefs.
Brief Description of your nation's populace:The Tuareg are a Berber people with a traditionally nomadic pastoralist lifestyle. They are the principal inhabitants of the Saharan interior of North Africa. Most Tuareg live in the Saharan parts of what is now Niger, Mali, and Algeria. Previously being nomadic, they used to move constantly across national borders before settling in Azawad. The Tuareg adopted camel nomadism, along with its distinctive form of social organization, from camel-herding Arabs about two thousand years ago, when the camel was introduced to the Sahara from Arabia. Since that time, they had operated the trans-Saharan caravan trade connecting the great cities on the southern edge of the Sahara via five desert trade routes to the northern (Mediterranean) coast of Africa. The Tuareg once took captives, either for trade and sale, or for domestic labor purposes. Those who were not sold became assimilated into the Tuareg community. Slaves and herdsmen formed a component of the division of labor in camel nomadism.
RP Example: None.

Brief Description of your nation's History: Long before the death of almighty Rome, Sparta, once a glistening city-state of military power was already on life support, and dying fast. Soon, young Rome overran all of Greece. But the dying city-state would refuse to go down without swinging a sword. Even after most of Greece had collapsed, Sparta continued to resist at every waking moment. Even once they had inevitably fallen, rebellions were common, to the tune of every couple of years. Once Rome had fallen, and all that was left was the Byzantine Empire, the city saw its chance. Byzantium was still a rich trading Empire, one whose mighty armies surrendered its gold to a bunch of barbarians with horses, and nothing else to them but numbers and desperation. It was at this time, that most of Greece broke away from the Empire. Soon afterward, several attempts to conquer Greece under a new 'Roman' Emperor, ravaged the land. Nine times, Sparta was nearly destroyed. And nine times, it refused stubbornly to fall. Four of these times, found help from the growing Athenian trade Empire. And of these, 2 were responsible for the existence of the city now. From then on, the people of Sparta forgot their age-old hatred of the Athenians, and found themselves in a sort of 'debt'. This 'debt' would be re-payed soon enough. As the Byzantines began their Restoration, an attempt to revive the Roman Empire, they swept through Greece, claiming everything by the tip of a sword. Even Athens fell before them. Next, would have been Corinth. A state, which, even after all that had happened, was still powerful, and rich. But they could not fight the Byzantines with any chance of winning alone. They made a desperate call for help to the rest of Peloponnese. For the Northern states, it was too late, many had already fallen. But in the South, the Spartan Kingdom which now controlled six major city-states, was about show its stubbornness once more, and, as usual, using a sword at the same time. King Kradus sent most of the military to Corinth, the rest joined with the other Southern states who has bonded in coalition, to fight the Byzantines at the North. This army, was not that of the dying Sparta so many years ago. This was the army we all knew, one that we could imagine at Thermopylae. Five great battles erupted at Corinth. At the first, they were nearly too late. The Byzantines were already moving through the gates on the East. The Spartans entered from the West, and met in the middle. The battle was almost wholly one-sided at this point, as thousands of routing Corinthians suddenly picked up their swords once more and threw themselves at the enemy. Several times, the Northern live waned, but after every waning, it waxed twice more. As the Byzantines continued advancing, their armies left for other lands. As they backed off from Corinth, the Spartans happily chased for their own enjoyment, and waved a proud salute to Athens as they passed by. In their eyes, they had been the liberators of Greece. Though in reality, much of Greece simply liberated itself as the Byzantines left.
Brief Description of your nation's economy: The economy focuses mainly on the pure survival of the nation. One of the biggest focuses in Sparta is of the military, for the fact that there are much bigger surrounding nations, and all males are required to be ready for combat service. Trading in gunpowder, the Spartan Army is very much well equipped, and the navy is also a backbone of the countries' main defense economy. The government also focuses highly on Farming which feeds the hungry stomachs of factory workers and military recruits and officers.
Brief Description of your nation's government: The government of Sparta is supremely ruled by the King. He is the word of the people. But since Sparta is a militaristic nation, if the King is found to be corrupt, that is the case and one of the only cases where the people and military may overthrow him. Examples of corruption are siding with enemy nations betraying the nation's official current religion, siding with rebels, insurrectionists, mercenaries which are all illegal in Sparta. Other examples include gambling, extortion, racketeering and any other illegal activies. The King's advisors of both politics and military strategy or otherwise known as the "King's Court" are made up of 12 politicians each representing one of the 12 major regions of Sparta. Other political advisors and departments are also figured in. The King's Court includes the following:
-King (Overall Ruler, plus Commander in Chief of Army)
-12 Representatives (Voice opinions of people)
-Minister of Treasury
-Minister of Religion (Much like the Pope)
-Minister of Economics
-Minister of Trade
-Minister of Agriculture
-10 Generals
-3 Fleet Masters
-1 Supreme Commander of the Navy (Lower than Chieftain and King)
-3 Field Marshals
-1 Chieftain (Chief of Staff)
Brief Description of your nation's populace:The People of Sparta are a fairly happy, fairly treated people; so long as the government is happy. The military has more respect and dominance than the overall population and Military forces are ALWAYS on duty. Women are considered to be of equal
fighting strength of men but common skepticalism says otherwise. Though most women are happy in
farming or houskeeping or working in the factories, they are given the option to serve in the military. The Kingdom's populace depends on the military highly to keep it safe. Though there are several groups that want to bring the king down and his military shatter all of the great Kingdom's accomplishments and bring whatever sick type of government that could be better than the overall fair system of the current Kingdom. These groups can consist of Mercenaries, Rebels, or all around Drunks with a few handy guns in hand. The kingdom overall though is happy, enthused, and ready for whatever comes there way.
