The Club (OOC; OPEN)

While I mainly stick to simple military, horror, and crime RPs, I'm gonna try my hand at a drama RP. The RP will take place during the day-to-day (or night-to-night) operations of a nightclub in downtown Los Angeles (the name of which will be determined by the club owner, who will also be the Co-OP). While I could RP the club owner, I think it would be more interesting to allow another RPer to control the club owner. Back to the RP, the RP takes place in 2013, and other RPers will take the role of the nightclub staff, whether they be a bouncer, bartender, doorman, promoter, or other employee. There will be a club hierarchy in place, as to help give a chain of command for the staff to follow. So, I leave you to it. Whether you're a bouncer, manager, bartender, or even the club owner, I look forward to seeing how you handle the stresses of turning an unknown club into the hottest place in Las Angeles.

Club Owner - The head honcho of the club. With your own money (or loans), you managed to purchase a space for your new nightclub in Downtown. Your hopes and dreams are on the line here. You hire the employees, and you pass down word to your managers. You're the head honcho, and it is up to you to make this club succeed.

Manager - The next best man in the club. While subordinate to the owner, you're the man on the ground. While the boss may give your orders, you're the one who overseas the operations of the club and makes sure everyone is doing their job. New employees report directly to you first, and you interview them for the role.

Promoter - Whether you be on a street corner with a sign or in an office on the phone or computer, it's your job to make sure that word gets out about the club. You can set up ads on the internet or wherever, and you also handle the press releases. When reporters or club critics show up at the front, the Promoter is usually alongside the Manager and the Club Owner.

Bartender - The job of the bartender is simple and well-known: keep the booze flowing. All the drinks are made by the bartender, and the quality of the bartender affects the quality of the drinks, which can also affect the quality of the club.

DJ - The man in charge of the dance floor; he is the man who knows the right music for the right moment. The dance floor is his battleground, and he knows how to shape it to the advantage of the club.

Server - Pretty self-explanatory. The job of the server is to serve the drinks to the patrons.

Bouncer - The staple of any club, the bouncer's job is to keep away any troublemakers. The security of the club is his/her top priority, and if someone tries to cause trouble, the bouncer is the first one on the scene, ready to force the unruly patron out.

Doorman - Occasionally, there will be those people who have been banned from the club by the Club Owner, and the gatekeeper of the club makes sure that the banned person doesn't pass through that door. The doorman also checks IDs and marks those under 21, and also makes sure that those who have had too much to drink get a cab, rather than damage the club's rep by drunk driving.

His skills in both combat and diplomacy were recognized, and he soon became a manager at many of the hottest nightclubs in LA before deciding to help a fledgling club get off the ground.

Basic Background: Born down the street from this club, Gale was familiar with the area. He started at a young age as a mechanic for the business that had previously been in that building. From there, he slowly rose up the ladder, doing nearly everything until he successfully ran it for a while. He then got a better opportunity elsewhere and moved away, increasing his skillset. When he moved back, he quickly applied to work in the building that set him on the fast track to being a millionaire. He is willing to do any job in the club, that needs to be done.
