Perhaps we should just shunt him center and north towards the Black Sea coast? That way our civs could understandably not have encountered the Emirate, instead of having to retcon stuff.

About Karaman guy,I see why he wants to be there,he is a turk after all but I cant help to think that the region is really crowded and that central europe is empty and I predict that someone will blob the area later on.We really need a central europe player more.If he however wishes to remain in Anatolia I will allow it.

Err, so unless Lewina disagrees, I'm assuming that the guy came out of formation and walked a little ways to talk to the general who's in the middle of the field.

Indeed, most don't allow for tactics and rely on simple numbers.

Simple.
Have you heard of the river Rhine?
Both the settlement I made in 51, and the settlements I am making on 63 are along the river.
I use thisgerman map of the river to spot place fit for a settlement and to say to what in RL they are close.

In conclusion, They are settlements on a river, which connects them to my nation.

No, but seriously,
I think, if he wants to be in a crowded region, he may be, as long as it is free, If he wants to, for the sake of balance, move to central europe, then its fine too, (as long as he doesnt get between me and the alps, or on the rivers of mine).

2 would be better, 3 even more,4 would be borderline crowded, but would also make it interesting and more realistic.

I'm not objecting a battle calculator, but like someone said above, if it doesn't account for tactics/strategy then its just random. Anyways add 241 and 243 to Merintus. We've colonised! Will post the ic soon.

It's not like all of my men were armed with clubs. So with the mix of clubs and men without clubs it would be hard to pick out all of the men with clubs and make sure you attack them, especially since these battles made you go under heavy pressure.

With the horse thing I said they got off of their horses and joined the regular soldiers in the battle... I don't see what's so wrong about that.

Ah, about the horses, that wasn't very clear- and I really don't think it's that hard to pick out men yielding a club compared to someone with something sharp.

Because measuring things in leagues warms my little sciencey heart.
