So how about this.The guy who will expand in the Balkans will have 35.000,asia minor guy will have 20.000 and the Africa guy will have about 5.000 troops.It will be a long trip and he might not find anything + he will be stuck on the same ship after he leaves Crete.

This is 60.000 men.

I guess I should have about 20.000 men left (80.000 in totall is too much).And the 35.000 men guy will head north,attacking the only possible invaders.

So, Drako, I think 5% is far too much for an army, but you're the OP. What is the max population percentage that you can have?

I´d say, depends on the society.
In my society, most of the troops are slaves, who, similar to in the roman empire, gain rights after they serve for a couple victories, so I can take lots of military from all the occupied regions.

On contrary, an society where everyone is equal, and where the people are mainly pacifistic, I assume, would be a lower number, as they cant draft slaves, and the society itself is anti-war.

So guys my eldest son shall head north and after conquering a small area barbarians shall create the 'North League' and try to fight me but will get their ass kicked after various battles and I will expand from where I am till Salonika.

The other guys shall colonize the aegean and I have no idea about the other guy.My question however is,when I should kill the current Emperor.I mean this is kinda odd.Maybe when all of his sons come back he shall request to be left alone for the night and then they will find him dead on his bed with a map of his XXX son's empire name (or something like that).Would that be a good way to die or is it too dramatic?

To reach you, and im talking about contact, not entering your palace, I have to finish exploration of the rhine, follow the small landgap to the danube, explore the danube, atleast to southeast rangula, from there I would have to, after I hear about you, send scouts, via rented ship, or horse.
And only then, I can come and kill you.
