352 years takes its toll on any creature.

Alexis Maren, called "Ka" in the olden days for her skill in magical healing, became "MythiKa" after she became the first to teleport to another dimension on April 22, 1717. The Seven Realms of the goddess of magic Ara'Van had been found, as in days long since past.

All was not well, however. The realms were under siege by the entity known as Kayra. The Healer of the Shadows encountered a new problem - all those Kayra enslaved were stripped of their magical abilities and their minds - becoming nothing but totally obedient servants. They also had the power to drain magical ability with a touch, destroying a creature as all of its magic was stripped away.

By 1730, there were fewer than 75 magicians left. MythiKa and the remaining mages escaped to an island in the Etheric Realm, building Ether Cathedral and a massive magical shield to protect themselves from Kayra's wrath. Soon afterward, the realms became stuck in eternal twilight by Ara'Van as punishment for the destruction of magic Kayra was wreaking.

Halloween, 2012. The veil between worlds thins once again. Several earthly magical creatures were drawn into the Realms of Ara'Van - and found that MythiKa lives still. Nevertheless, she has been irretrievably changed. She has no memory of her life on Earth, and has changed her into one of the creatures of the Realms.

Driving Kayra out of the realms, the group returned to Earth on November 23.

August 5, 2013 - Kayra returns, and this time, the stakes are a lot higher - MythiKa has been kidnapped by Kayra's forces, and is being tortured by the slow and painful destruction of her magical abilities - along with physical torture as well.

August 7 - Ali'Mera, MythiKa's daughter, restarts her mother's teleportation spell, pulling everyone right back in to save the Realms and all of wizardkind.

Now, with the return of the Children of the Eighth World to the Seven Realms of Ara'Van, all magic hangs in the balance once more as light and darkness run toward their final confrontation...


Good evening, NationStates and P2TM. I've spent some time working on this idea, and hope it's to your liking. MythiKa II: Fires at Midnight is a semi-sequel to the original MythiKa of some months ago.

In the original story's plans, Kayra would have been defeated around November 23, 2012 - alas, we never got that far in the RP. However, with his return, the new adventurers in the Realms will have to face a place not meant for any mage.

Mainly, it's because of all the people - if you can call them people - in the Realms. These beings have the strange ability to drain the magical energy from witches and wizards in order to use it as their own. MythiKa herself created a sanctuary - a cathedral at the heart of the seventh of these Realms, the Forest of Ether. There, the last of the magical beings of the Seven Realms are forced to stay. On the island where Ether Cathedral sits, the occupants are safe from the draining attacks of the Kayrans. Once they cross the lake around Ether Cathedral, though, any one of them is in danger - as evidenced by MythiKa's own kidnapping two days before the start of the RP at the hands of Kayra and his forces.

Between her birth in May 1661 and her disappearance in 1717, Alexis Maren, or MythiKa as she was known, was the epitome of the 'healer in the shadows' stereotype. She would heal anything she came across, but would leave no trace of her magic.

In 1717, MythiKa discovered a way to cross between dimensions using magic. Traveling to Stonehenge in mid-April, she discovered the true purpose of the formation - it was a portal to the Seven Realms. On April 22, 1717, she activated the Stonehenge portal, but became trapped in the Seven Realms when the portal immediately closed behind her.

Chased by Kayra, she erected a magical barrier around the island at the center of the Etheric Realm, and built the Ether Cathedral there in 1736.

Nearly 300 years in the Seven Realms greatly amplified MythiKa's magical powers, at the cost of transforming her into a creature of the realms. She has no memories of Earth, those memories having been obliterated by her transformation.

MythiKa is a master of fire magic - the one type of magic that can repel Kayrans, as they are not used to the light - with the Realms of Ara'Van in eternal twilight, the creatures of Kayra, which have known nothing but darkness, cannot stand it.

On August 5, 2013, MythiKa was gathering water for the Cathedral (the lake around the cathedral is the lake of ether mana) when she was trapped by a Kayran ambush. Her whereabouts are currently unknown, but she is presumed to be held at Kayra's castle in the Windswept Realm.

Personality: His aloofness is obfuscatory and hides a sarcastic side that comes out when he feels the need to be sarcastic.He is a drifter now, but he once believed in a cause and could be convinced to join one. After the events 10 months previous he has returned home and is once again a man of strong convictions and is now a family man.
A short bio: Apollo Carmichael was born to a fairly wealthy elvish family. From a young age it was apparent that he had magical abilities, so his parents hired the best tutors and teachers around. He was also taught the art of swordplay as befitting his status. In became quite apparent as he was learning that not only was he a wizard, but he was a fairly powerful one at that. Also through his swordplay lessons he found that he had a naturally affinity for the blade and was quite adept at it. His parents harbored dreams of a powerful patriarch for the family, but one morning, all those hopes and dreams were dashed.
The day had started out normal, with a servant coming in to wake Apollo up, but when he went to the bed he discovered that under the covers were only pillows, and that the head was a crude sculpture of Apollo's. Apollo had run away to pursue a life of adventure, fighting, and general rabble rousing, hoping to find contentment where he couldn't back at home. He wandered the country side, picking fights with anyone and everyone, until someone came to him and gave him a cause that gave his life meaning, hunting evil wizards.
Apollo threw himself into the task, but he became disillusioned when he noticed that no matter how hard he tried, or fought, more and more evil wizards sprang up. The final straw was when his former mentor betrayed him and tried to kill him. Now Apollo is in a similar state as before, drifting, picking fights, and just generally being a rabble rouser.
On Halloween of 2012 by the Earth calendar he was one of the beings brought into the Etheric Realm by MythiKa to help fight Kayra. He was hesitant to join in, but when he was promised a way home if he helped he joined in the cause. The fight and banishment of Kayra led to him returning to his family home and eventually settling down and starting a family.
His fighting days are in his past, but he still trains everyday. Most of his time, however, is spent with his family and trying to make amends with the parents he left to pursue adventure. How will this reformed family man take being brought back into the realms and forced to fight Kayra for MythiKa once more?

Name: Ansley Prior
Age: 156
Species: Half-merrow half-human

Appearance: Taller than the average woman, with a light but curvaceous build, midnight-blue eyes that turn up at the corners and seaweed-green hair. Her skin is pale with a hint of blue that is only just visible when viewed from the right angle. She has thin barely-pigmented membranes between her fingers, and her ears are comparable to fish's fins.
Allegiances: Mythikan
Personality: Always pensive and quiet, and not very (at least outwardly) emotional, Ansley longs to return to her mother's homeland beneath the waves. She rarely gets angry, but finds loud and/or frivolous people irritating. She generally delivers attacks with a cold and stony demeanour. She can often be seen combing her hair.
A short bio: Born in 1857 in a small fishing village on the western coast of England to a fisherman human father and a merrow mother who left when she was young, Ansley has always wanted to go into the sea to live with her mother's people, mostly due to the humans' fear. From a young age she was taught to fish, and due to her heritage and near-constant close proximity to water she has been tempted many times to attempt to leave her life on the land and escape to the cities she knows are underwater; however, she also knew that without a merrow's cap she would drown.
She was nearly twenty when her father died, and after mourning for a few days she left the village, as now that he was gone there was no one to stop the villagers from prosecuting her. She travelled the island for a while, meeting and learning from several talented magicians but never staying in one place for too long. Over time she became quite skilled in water-based magic, illusion, and minor charms (such as repairing a recently broken object, calling a nearby object to her, writing without pen nor ink, slowing the fall of objects, etc). She also developed a spell that allowed her to hold her breath for an hour without too much discomfort, but it wasn't quite the same as the enchantment on merrows' caps, which allowed one to breathe underwater.
When she was summoned for the first time to the Seven Realms she quickly adapted. She learned how to use her magic to deliver deadly attacks, as well as to protect herself: she could create concentrated tendrils of water that could slice and stab through things, and create domes of turbulent water that deflected most things that tried to enter; she learned how to turn herself invisible and create realistic illusions of people; she developed charms that could be used to slow down a projectile, to heat up her water for scalding attacks, and to break objects.
When, finally, she returned to Earth, she retreated to a small, secluded house on a cliff facing the ocean in Ireland, an hour away from a gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) hamlet, where she's stayed ever since.

Personality: Raven tends to keep to herself. She as a kind and loving nature like almost all elves but she also has a dark side and can be very dangerous when hit right with an insult or image. She has a very high patienc and all torture methods have been tested on her; she is immune to some but others that are random tend to get to her. She can be very sarcastic and cannot tell a joke.
A short bio: Raven grew up in canada with her partents. Both were wizards and were amazed at what she could do. they both trained her. Her mother trained her in language and tactics as well as solving numerous puzzles and how to solve them. Her father taught her combat stratigies and how to persuade people to do what you want. She loved her father and mother equally and when they both passed her father left a will saying that his job was now her's and that her father brother would guide her. She went then to Dragonia to the metting place and announced herself. The brothe ro fher father named Fl'inketzer or Ink as he was called because he spent so much time writing books and such. He put her next to him and they both sat, she listened intently on the issues at hand and when it was time for comments she had one that made them all stop arguing.

After ruling that job she left, leaving her dad's brother in charge again with a new idea in their hands. It took about 100 years or so for her to be able to convince them, over thsoe yaers she had gained friends, lost them and even had a relatioship that was soon gone. Raven then was accepte into the Nozia, a guild of some sorts that reined down from her mothers side. Raven was getting more and more secrets from her mother and father than she wanted to. Though she joined and stayed with the guild for about 250 years. She fought battles and wizards alike. She even made friends after the battle with the enemies and got them to join her side.

After 251 years she left the guild to travel. She has been traveling for over 700 years. She learned more fighting skills and wizard skills as well. She even earned from her first master a dagger that would glow only to her eyes if trouble was coming or something was getting ready to start it. She keeps that on her left hip. Then she found, inside a cave, a sword that was left by the great one. ONe she took hold of it she went unconsious but was awakened in another world, before her was a council of people who had guarded the sword. She told them of the legacy and of her life. They all listened and all laughed at her sarcasm when it came. They demed her worthy to keep it and she did. So now at around 900 years old a new war has started and she is remaining neutral in it for fear of something greater will happen.

Kayra predates Mythika by uncounted centuries, and is perhaps the only constant in the Seven Realms. For the last nine hundred years, he has persecuted every magical creature in the Seven Realms, driving them nearly to extinction before Mythika's arrival in 1717.

Born some time in the 3rd millennium BC by the Earth calendar, Kayra was originally a mage himself, but his hatred for magic began in 1109 AC when he was stripped of his powers after using them only for darkness. Determined to take revenge, Kayra soon figured out how he could drain power from mages and use it to strengthen his abilities in battle, thus regaining the power he lost, at the cost of thousands of lives.

When Mythika arrived in 1717, Kayra saw an opportunity to regain his full power, but found himself facing a formidable opponent in the Healer of the Shadows. With MythiKa now in his grasp, however, he intends to make her suffer as much as he can, believing magic to be the greatest of evils and believing MythiKa to be the prophet of the "twisted" Ara'Van...

Personality (be detailed!):Unless he is firmly persuaded otherwise, he can give a mule lessons in stubbornness, and he has a hunger for power that has been sated little- though he tempers it with caution when he can. In his younger years, he had a taste for pranks, and often accompanied some more "free-willed", members of the Byzantine court. Since becoming a Lycan, and taking on certain burdens, he has become- at least outwardly; serious, grim, and intent on pushing away all those who are important to him. He can be quite capable and level-headed when faced with challenges, and is a fast learner. Over the centuries, he has become arrogant and hard.

One of the most interesting characteristics that Velissarios acquired over the years is the voice of Enmerkar of Eridu, speaking to him in his head, from a debacle in ancient ruins in what is now called Kosovo(details in bio), where the trapped spirit of the man, who was once a powerful sorcerer and necromancer countless millennia before, and who eventually found the ire of Ereshkigal, and ended up imprisoned, was inadvertently freed and partially took control of him. Most of the time, the voice is fairly crazy, and Velissarios thinks that he must be going insane. Other times, Enmerkar seems to be almost sane, and actually helps Velissarios get out of a few scrapes.

A short bio (1-3 paragraphs please): Born in A.D. 1112, Velissarios was a member of the legendary Komnenid dynasty that history never spoke of; the sixth son of John II Komnenos and Irene of Hungary. Quite early on, his talent in many areas was recognised by family and peers amongst the noble families that he maintained close contact with from a young age. He quickly became adept at things like swordsmanship and other weapons, and learned to ride with great skill from an early age. He became omni-lingual at a surprisingly fast rate. Unfortunately, as Velissarios grew up, he was regarded as a threat to certain other nobles of power, courtesy of Byzantine politics. He showed an interest in certain things he kept fairly secret, of an occult nature. He also showed an aptitude for drawing and several different instruments.
He was quite popular amongst the nobles, for his notable good looks among other reasons. He quickly became entrenched in politics and scheming of a complex nature, as well as certain mystical cults that thrived in the underside of Byzantium. Velissarios sometimes resorted to utilising dark magic to remove some of the more pesky adversaries he faced; though in the long run, this would end up creating more problems than solutions.

Under instructions by an individual who was a master of sorcery, he journeyed to a ruined fortress in what is now known as Kaljaja, or Prizren Fortress, in Prizren, Kosovo. He was informed there would be a reward in the form of a powerful artefact that would give him considerably more power than he already had, and would allow him to easily ascend to the throne of Basileia Romaion, or Byzantium. When venturing there, seemingly well-prepared for anything, he ventured into an abandoned tower in the fortress. There, was an intricately carved ancient safe; inside was an even older Sumerian cuneiform tablet. Velissarios approached it, not knowing that the proximity of someone with sorcerous power was enough to activate it. The trapped spirit of a long-dead Sumerian sorcerer,known simply as Enmerkar of Eridu, forced its way into Velissarios, surprising him. He resisted furiously as soon as he realized what was happening. Enmerkar had some control, but Velissarios had given no more ground; turning it into a stalemate.

The way it worked was such that stray thoughts and memories also shifted into Velissarios' perception, and in certain situations it would be more difficult than usual to maintain that grip, as admittedly, Enmerkar was not the sanest of individuals; most of the time, raving lunatic would be letting the dead mage off kindly. Nonetheless; there were some benefits. Enmerkar had been a powerful sorcerer in his time, and what he knew merged with the considerably smaller amount that Velissarios, still in his early 20s, knew at the time. A month or two later, Velissarios displayed an interest in methods of obtaining immortality, and scoured the library of Constantinople for certain books on the subject. Unfortunately, some shadowy individuals thought it would be a twist of irony if he received the gift of not ageing, but for a price. During one of his searches through the enormous library, a group of Lycans ambushed him. A few were killed by either his blade or his magic, but one closed in on him, inflicting a wound that was enough to ensure that he would be infected too. Velissarios knew what would happen, without Enmerkar babbling inanely in the back of his head. So, he quietly gathered his possessions, and made an excuse about leaving the empire to his family, saying that he would be away for a few months.

Meanwhile, certain individuals in his service quietly removed most written accounts of him from existence. Velissarios was responsible for a number of massacres in a number of villages and small settlements, also of certain travelling caravans. This was during the first few transformations; when he had not got the hang of controlling them and his thirst for slaughter was too strong. The spirit of Enmerkar, sometimes shouting in his head in Greek, or Sumerian; as the transfer of knowledge, memories and the like went both ways, didn't help much, as he often advocated bloodshed when there was no need. Sometimes Enmerkar even gained temporary control of Velissarios' body, and to put it simply; bad stuff happened, as one might expect when an insane ancient Sumerian sorcerer manages to gain control of a partially possessed Greek Lycan. He kept on the move a lot, occasionally purchasing places in various parts of Europe as he made his way around. Questions would be asked, as after a few decades, he knew he would not age. Thus, people would inevitably get suspicious if he gave them the opportunity to do so. Occasionally, vampires found him out and tried to kill him every few decades or so, and they got far closer than normal humans or hunters had before, so he fears them as much as he hates them. Some of them either escaped alive, or left him nearly dead, despite a decent amount of magic at his command, with some help in that department from Enmerkar.

In the world wars, he actively made efforts to slaughter any soldiers that stepped near his grounds. These became places that were shunned and avoided by opposing sides and scouting efforts ended up disasters, so many simply blanked these places out and marked them as no-go areas, and he managed to ensure that there was just enough incentive for the more important leaders of the third Reich, to never look into these places, and focus on the Allies and the resistance fighters. Velissarios had a feeling about the outcome of the war, and simply chose to stay out of it, as he knew that it could go badly wrong for him if he were to be involved. Sometimes, those who went in search for occult artefacts in such places found seemingly empty buildings, and at other times, they simply disappeared. For a lot longer than that, though, was the fact that the locals always stayed away from his abodes, for they viewed such places as cursed and evil. Now, in modern day, he keeps things even more well hidden, and has managed to collect many things of mundane and occult nature over the centuries, travelling as he often does.

Centuries later, he recognised power when the one known as Mythika was born. Velissarios was wary, unlike some other individuals who were destroyed attempting to take her power. In his head, Enmerkar murmured far more on that, especially when Mythika disappeared. Velissarios decided that he would need help, if he was to obtain more power from Mythika, and destroy her servants. So he turned to Kayran, after travelling to the Seven Realms, and quickly proved himself to be a skilled, and by no means weak sorcerer, and a fighter considerably skilled with more mundane abilities, too. Another of his most useful assets was the fact that he could assume his Lycan form, as well as possessing enhanced senses and reflexes in both human and Lycan forms.

When Kayra was banished and he, among others, defeated, his hatred grew stronger for the Mythikans, and he sought to make himself stronger still with increasing alacrity. Velissarios was one among others who ambushed Mythika and helped kidnap her recently. With this event, an event that could be considered a momentous one at that, Velissarios believes that with happenings such as these, the stakes have risen, and soon, the end of the Realms may come, and the end of all those who serve Mythika, with them...

You're supposed to be employing the arts of diplomacy, not the ruddy great thumping sledgehammers of diplomacy. -Ardchoille
It would be easier just to incorporate a "Grief Region" button, so you wouldn't even need to make the effort to do the actual raiding. Players could just bounce from region to region and destroy everyone else's efforts at will, without even bothering about WA status. Wouldn't that be nice. -Frisbeeteria

Changed a few minor details.

Name: Velissarios Komnenos

Age (Great wizards don't become great overnight - be reasonable): 901

Species (any human-like magical species is up for grabs - no phoenixes or minotaurs, but elves, faeries, goblins, centaurs, etc. are fine): Human (Lycanthrope)

Personality (be detailed!):Unless he is firmly persuaded otherwise, he can give a mule lessons in stubbornness, and he has a hunger for power that has been sated little- though he tempers it with caution when he can. In his younger years, he had a taste for pranks, and often accompanied some more "free-willed", members of the Byzantine court. Since becoming a Lycan, and taking on certain burdens, he has become- at least outwardly; serious, grim, and intent on pushing away all those who are important to him. He can be quite capable and level-headed when faced with challenges, and is a fast learner. Over the centuries, he has become arrogant and hard.

One of the most interesting characteristics that Velissarios acquired over the years is the voice of Enmerkar of Eridu, speaking to him in his head, from a debacle in ancient ruins in what is now called Kosovo(details in bio), where the trapped spirit of the man, who was once a powerful sorcerer and necromancer countless millennia before, and who eventually found the ire of Ereshkigal, and ended up imprisoned, was inadvertently freed and partially took control of him. Most of the time, the voice is fairly crazy, and Velissarios thinks that he must be going insane. Other times, Enmerkar seems to be almost sane, and actually helps Velissarios get out of a few scrapes.

A short bio (1-3 paragraphs please): Born in A.D. 1112, Velissarios was a member of the legendary Komnenid dynasty that history never spoke of; the sixth son of John II Komnenos and Irene of Hungary. Quite early on, his talent in many areas was recognised by family and peers amongst the noble families that he maintained close contact with from a young age. He quickly became adept at things like swordsmanship and other weapons, and learned to ride with great skill from an early age. He became omni-lingual at a surprisingly fast rate. Unfortunately, as Velissarios grew up, he was regarded as a threat to certain other nobles of power, courtesy of Byzantine politics. He showed an interest in certain things he kept fairly secret, of an occult nature. He also showed an aptitude for drawing and several different instruments.
He was quite popular amongst the nobles, for his notable good looks among other reasons. He quickly became entrenched in politics and scheming of a complex nature, as well as certain mystical cults that thrived in the underside of Byzantium. Velissarios sometimes resorted to utilising dark magic to remove some of the more pesky adversaries he faced; though in the long run, this would end up creating more problems than solutions.

Under instructions by an individual who was a master of sorcery, he journeyed to a ruined fortress in what is now known as Kaljaja, or Prizren Fortress, in Prizren, Kosovo. He was informed there would be a reward in the form of a powerful artefact that would give him considerably more power than he already had, and would allow him to easily ascend to the throne of Basileia Romaion, or Byzantium. When venturing there, seemingly well-prepared for anything, he ventured into an abandoned tower in the fortress. There, was an intricately carved ancient safe; inside was an even older Sumerian cuneiform tablet. Velissarios approached it, not knowing that the proximity of someone with sorcerous power was enough to activate it. The trapped spirit of a long-dead Sumerian sorcerer,known simply as Enmerkar of Eridu, forced its way into Velissarios, surprising him. He resisted furiously as soon as he realized what was happening. Enmerkar had some control, but Velissarios had given no more ground; turning it into a stalemate.

The way it worked was such that stray thoughts and memories also shifted into Velissarios' perception, and in certain situations it would be more difficult than usual to maintain that grip, as admittedly, Enmerkar was not the sanest of individuals; most of the time, raving lunatic would be letting the dead mage off kindly. Nonetheless; there were some benefits. Enmerkar had been a powerful sorcerer in his time, and what he knew merged with the considerably smaller amount that Velissarios, still in his early 20s, knew at the time. A month or two later, Velissarios displayed an interest in methods of obtaining immortality, and scoured the library of Constantinople for certain books on the subject. Unfortunately, some shadowy individuals thought it would be a twist of irony if he received the gift of not ageing, but for a price. During one of his searches through the enormous library, a group of Lycans ambushed him. A few were killed by either his blade or his magic, but one closed in on him, inflicting a wound that was enough to ensure that he would be infected too. Velissarios knew what would happen, without Enmerkar babbling inanely in the back of his head. So, he quietly gathered his possessions, and made an excuse about leaving the empire to his family, saying that he would be away for a few months.

Meanwhile, certain individuals in his service quietly removed most written accounts of him from existence. Velissarios was responsible for a number of massacres in a number of villages and small settlements, also of certain travelling caravans. This was during the first few transformations; when he had not got the hang of controlling them and his thirst for slaughter was too strong. The spirit of Enmerkar, sometimes shouting in his head in Greek, or Sumerian; as the transfer of knowledge, memories and the like went both ways, didn't help much, as he often advocated bloodshed when there was no need. Sometimes Enmerkar even gained temporary control of Velissarios' body, and to put it simply; bad stuff happened, as one might expect when an insane ancient Sumerian sorcerer manages to gain control of a partially possessed Greek Lycan. He kept on the move a lot, occasionally purchasing places in various parts of Europe as he made his way around. Questions would be asked, as after a few decades, he knew he would not age. Thus, people would inevitably get suspicious if he gave them the opportunity to do so. Occasionally, vampires found him out and tried to kill him every few decades or so, and they got far closer than normal humans or hunters had before, so he fears them as much as he hates them. Some of them either escaped alive, or left him nearly dead, despite a decent amount of magic at his command, with some help in that department from Enmerkar.

In the world wars, he actively made efforts to slaughter any soldiers that stepped near his grounds. These became places that were shunned and avoided by opposing sides and scouting efforts ended up disasters, so many simply blanked these places out and marked them as no-go areas, and he managed to ensure that there was just enough incentive for the more important leaders of the third Reich, to never look into these places, and focus on the Allies and the resistance fighters. Velissarios had a feeling about the outcome of the war, and simply chose to stay out of it, as he knew that it could go badly wrong for him if he were to be involved. Sometimes, those who went in search for occult artefacts in such places found seemingly empty buildings, and at other times, they simply disappeared. For a lot longer than that, though, was the fact that the locals always stayed away from his abodes, for they viewed such places as cursed and evil. Now, in modern day, he keeps things even more well hidden, and has managed to collect many things of mundane and occult nature over the centuries, travelling as he often does.

Centuries later, he recognised power when the one known as Mythika was born. Velissarios was wary, unlike some other individuals who were destroyed attempting to take her power. In his head, Enmerkar murmured far more on that, especially when Mythika disappeared. Velissarios decided that he would need help, if he was to obtain more power from Mythika, and destroy her servants. So he turned to Kayran, after travelling to the Seven Realms, and quickly proved himself to be a skilled, and by no means weak sorcerer, and a fighter considerably skilled with more mundane abilities, too. Another of his most useful assets was the fact that he could assume his Lycan form, as well as possessing enhanced senses and reflexes in both human and Lycan forms.

When Kayra was banished and he, among others, defeated, his hatred grew stronger for the Mythikans, and he sought to make himself stronger still with increasing alacrity. Velissarios was one among others who ambushed Mythika and helped kidnap her recently. With this event, an event that could be considered a momentous one at that, Velissarios believes that with happenings such as these, the stakes have risen, and soon, the end of the Realms may come, and the end of all those who serve Mythika, with them...

Appearance: Taller than the average woman, with a light but curvaceous build, midnight-blue eyes that turn up at the corners and seaweed-green hair. Her skin is pale with a hint of blue that is only just visible when viewed from the right angle. She has thin barely-pigmented membranes between her fingers, and her ears are comparable to fish's fins.
Allegiances: Mythikan
Personality: Always pensive and quiet, and not very (at least outwardly) emotional, Ansley longs to return to her mother's homeland beneath the waves. She rarely gets angry, but finds loud and/or frivolous people irritating. She generally delivers attacks with a cold and stony demeanour. She can often be seen combing her hair.
A short bio: Born in 1857 in a small fishing village on the western coast of England to a fisherman human father and a merrow mother who left when she was young, Ansley has always wanted to go into the sea to live with her mother's people, mostly due to the humans' fear. From a young age she was taught to fish, and due to her heritage and near-constant close proximity to water she has been tempted many times to attempt to leave her life on the land and escape to the cities she knows are underwater; however, she also knew that without a merrow's cap she would drown.
She was nearly twenty when her father died, and after mourning for a few days she left the village, as now that he was gone there was no one to stop the villagers from prosecuting her. She travelled the island for a while, meeting and learning from several talented magicians but never staying in one place for too long. Over time she became quite skilled in water-based magic, illusion, and minor charms (such as repairing a recently broken object, calling a nearby object to her, writing without pen nor ink, slowing the fall of objects, etc). She also developed a spell that allowed her to hold her breath for an hour without too much discomfort, but it wasn't quite the same as the enchantment on merrows' caps, which allowed one to breathe underwater.
When she was summoned for the first time to the Seven Realms she quickly adapted. She learned how to use her magic to deliver deadly attacks, as well as to protect herself: she could create concentrated tendrils of water that could slice and stab through things, and create domes of turbulent water that deflected most things that tried to enter; she learned how to turn herself invisible and create realistic illusions of people; she developed charms that could be used to slow down a projectile, to heat up her water for scalding attacks, and to break objects.
When, finally, she returned to Earth, she retreated to a small, secluded house on a cliff facing the ocean in Ireland, an hour away from a gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) hamlet, where she's stayed ever since.

Personality: Raven tends to keep to herself. She as a kind and loving nature like almost all elves but she also has a dark side and can be very dangerous when hit right with an insult or image. She has a very high patienc and all torture methods have been tested on her; she is immune to some but others that are random tend to get to her. She can be very sarcastic and cannot tell a joke.
A short bio: Raven grew up in canada with her partents. Both were wizards and were amazed at what she could do. they both trained her. Her mother trained her in language and tactics as well as solving numerous puzzles and how to solve them. Her father taught her combat stratigies and how to persuade people to do what you want. She loved her father and mother equally and when they both passed her father left a will saying that his job was now her's and that her father brother would guide her. She went then to Dragonia to the metting place and announced herself. The brothe ro fher father named Fl'inketzer or Ink as he was called because he spent so much time writing books and such. He put her next to him and they both sat, she listened intently on the issues at hand and when it was time for comments she had one that made them all stop arguing.

After ruling that job she left, leaving her dad's brother in charge again with a new idea in their hands. It took about 100 years or so for her to be able to convince them, over thsoe yaers she had gained friends, lost them and even had a relatioship that was soon gone. Raven then was accepte into the Nozia, a guild of some sorts that reined down from her mothers side. Raven was getting more and more secrets from her mother and father than she wanted to. Though she joined and stayed with the guild for about 250 years. She fought battles and wizards alike. She even made friends after the battle with the enemies and got them to join her side.

After 251 years she left the guild to travel. She has been traveling for over 700 years. She learned more fighting skills and wizard skills as well. She even earned from her first master a dagger that would glow only to her eyes if trouble was coming or something was getting ready to start it. She keeps that on her left hip. Then she found, inside a cave, a sword that was left by the great one. ONe she took hold of it she went unconsious but was awakened in another world, before her was a council of people who had guarded the sword. She told them of the legacy and of her life. They all listened and all laughed at her sarcasm when it came. They demed her worthy to keep it and she did. So now at around 900 years old a new war has started and she is remaining neutral in it for fear of something greater will happen.

Ah, yes. I based part of him off Rand al'Thor, who had a bit of a madness problem, with the voice of his old incarnation, Lews Therin Telamon, generally speaking in his head and sometimes taking control.
That was because Rand was the reincarnation of Lews Therin. It did become a hindrance at times, like when Lews Therin's lack of respect for the modern day Aes Sedai ended up in Rand underestimating them and ending up getting shielded and captured. During that time, what happened didn't do any favours for his or Lews Therin's sanity.
And later on, both Rand and Lews Therin ended up fighting over control of the One Power, and they stopped each other from reaching it so Semirhage had no problems firing a fireball at him, which ended up resulting in him losing his left hand./End Wheel of Time Rant/
