Hi, all!

I'm interested in joining (if the RP is still open), but I have a question: what's the expected pace? How many posts per day should we be making? I have a bunch of real-world stuff I need to do, but I think I can play if the RP isn't going to move too fast.

Would it be possible for nobody else to use Masers and Phase Space Jumps? It just makes my own backstory more realistic.

Phase Space is an alternate dimension where all points in realspace exist in a confined area, allowing for near instant travel. Only accessible via large Ship Based Jump Drives or Phase Cannons.

Picture of what I imagine. Where the same line intersects a circle, In Real Space to High Phase Space, is the same point. So a person going from Point A Real Space to Point B RealSpace would take much much longer than a person going from Point A High/Low PhaseSpace to Point B High/Low PhaseSpace.

Hm. That's the same principle I use with BelowSpace. Still, different universes afaik. BelowSpace is a stillborn universe altered by Dive passage, not the real universe compressed.

Similar real life phenomena occur like phase jumping, such as neutrinos and quantum tunneling, or Hawking Radiation. Although Quantum tunneling prefers the physics of this dimension

Still, I don't like the idea of instantaneous travel.

My people can achieve instantaneous travel ONLY BETWEEN OUR TRANSWARP CONDUITS. If we're going to the other side of the galaxy (Conduit free), it will take weeks, maybe months to travel on our simple warp drives.

Hello, sorry for not responding, the OP isnt here, and I as Co-OP am taking on all the duties, atleast maybe 3 posts a day should be good (dont need to be lengthy posts) but the RP does move quite quickly, many many things happening at once.

How instantaneous, is instantaneous? (Lol that may not make sense)
40k warp space is comparable to a fast flowing river, and the real space is the river banks, a leaf would travel faster through the river than it would if you carried it across land, now imagine the leaf was a starship, and was able to enter and leave the river by choice when it'd travelled the required distance. The river was simply a faster way to get there. Just like warp space.

I suppose instantaneous was a bit to much, but it is quite rapid, though yes, it would very depending on distances.
