Also, another official herald of spring: those nifty spiders who build webs overnight and take them down by morning. "Schmedly the Porch Spider" (or one of his children) turned up this evening after a heavy rain.

Also, another official herald of spring: those nifty spiders who build webs overnight and take them down by morning. "Schmedly the Porch Spider" (or one of his children) turned up this evening after a heavy rain.

I plan on making (And drawing) out the Krute Language.

With it, it shall consist of 36 letters
13 are vowels
6 words being silent
8 making a two lettered sound. like ç = ch sound in Turkish
Rest being letters
Also, there are going to be a minimum of 64 hieroglyphics. Even worse part is is that now I will write down the Runic and Cyrillic alphabets and start cramming two random letters together til I get 36 letters. And that is only the first part..

And for some reason I find that adorable about the spider.

I love those spiders. They keep all the flying obnoxious things away, mainly the lacewings from my potted herbs. I'd come home from work in the wee hours of the morning last summer and look at their webs. If they hadn't caught anything, I'd pinch a lacewing off the storm door glass and place it in a web. I think that's probably why I have so many of those spiders now.

You know, after all this effort, you should make up a Krute nation and establish it as a colony within the Germanic Templars.

Spiders... we have a symbiotic relationship. I treat my carpenter bees with the same amount of care because they pollinate the stuff on my back porch. That said, I waged a small war on ants this evening. There is NO leaf clutter in my kitchen. Those f*ckers had to die. (Okay, it was just one ant and the poor bastard probably caught a ride inside on clothing, but the bug barrier spray came out.)

On that note, I'm crawling into bed. Goodnight everyone!

Could be worse. When I was in DC and went down to Mount Vernon, it was INFESTED with June Bugs. To the point that I nearly ate one because it was flying straight into my mouth.

The less said about last spring in St George's, the better.

Due to one of the trees in our backyard, our house and the area near it gets INFESTED by these pesky Box Elm Beetles. They're very small, but at one point a wall outside was simply coated in the damn things. Luckily they've seem to be dying off each year, with less and less appearing, but they're still a mischance. The worst thing you ever get in California though is squirrels, and they aren't too bad.
