Welcome to the American Revolution! Here is the war that began one of the powerful nations in the world. I intend for this RP to take place in the Colonies, but there can be a few naval battles out there. Once we get enough people I might begin making a Continental Congress thread. In the Continental Congress, if you are a congressman you can still be a soldier, I am only accepting one congressman from each colony. Here you will be able to RP as any person tat took apart in the Revolution. Here comes the Apps.

Bio: David Weltner was born in a farming community a few dozen miles outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At age 16, David joined the British Army and fought against the French and Natives in the Seven Year's War. He rose to the rank of Corporal by the end of the war. Within the three year period of his service, he learned how to survive alone in the wilderness, after he was captured by the French and subsequently escaped. During the next ten years, he began to see the corruption and invalidity of the King's rule, prompting him to join the Revolution. On April 20th, 1775, a day after the "Shot Heard Round the World", David signed up with the local militia. With his experience, he was made Sergeant of a small platoon of hunters.

Now years into the war, with hundreds of thousands of people dead, all sides of the conflict are growing weary. Protest in the GKE, DRRL, and other foreign countries have made moral plummet. President David calls a emergency session of the People's Congress. Ironically... on the date that Revolution Land joined the war...

President David: "Last week, I returned from a tour of Communist-held UIP. I'm not going to lie to you... war is hell. Every American knows it by know; we've been though revolution, civil war, and now this. 18,000 Revolutionary guards are dead. Today we lost the 18,000th Revolutionary Guard. Today is the anniversary of our involvement in the war. (President David begins to shed tears) And... I can't send another Guard to the UIP. We've lost so many. The war began as a struggle for Communism, but has become a blood-feud between different families, different militant groups, different Communist ideologies, different resources. It hasn't became a real revolution, but a petty capitalist war. No one is to blame, but me. I proposed the motion, so the blood is on me. Mothers, Fathers, Son, Daughters, People of Revolution Land. This is a real, true democracy, and you may depose me if you wish. We must remain strong, and find a way to cope with the loss. Never before, since the revolution, have so many of our people died. From this day forth, it must be our duty to ensure we never get wrapped up in another foreign war, a war that we know we can never win. We must continue our revolution, not force another one on the other side of the world. If we are to reach Communism, we must stay strong, united, and free. But most of all, we must be loving, caring, selfless, and peaceful. War is hell, and this one was no different."

That night, the votes rolled in: 100% in favor of ending the war.

Jean Darnay was born in the French Province of Quebec on July 4rth, 1744. He was the son of a prostitute and her slave lover, both of which were hanged for “indecency”, and he was sent to an orphanage.
He joined the army in 1754 at the age of ten as a supply boy, who simply stocked soldier’s supplies at the dawn of the French and Indian war. He felt that the Army would give him a chance for a better life, rather than in an orphanage.
However, after 4 years of service, he was captured by British soldiers, who, seeing his darkish skin, claimed him to be an escaped slave, selling him for 20 meager pounds to a Georgian plantation owner.
He escaped after 5 years of horror when a ship from New York arrived at his master’s plantation. Taking this chance, he snuck on board, and since men from New york tend to view slavery as distasteful, they allowed him to voyage to a new life.
He discovered that while he had been in slavery, the French had lost, and now, with no home to return to, the 19 year old slave held a hatred of the world.
He was taken in by a kindly preacher as a ward, but being a thief at heart, Jean stole the preacher’s bible, and was apprehended by the authorities, whereupon the preacher lied to set him free. Jean, overwhelmed with this show of gratitude, resolved to become a new man, a Christian.
Jean, by saving the Drowning son of a Powerful Businessman, was given foreman ship over a ship yard, where his new work ethic enabled him to rise to the top, as one of the wealthiest men in New York.
Jean became a millionaire (at this time, this would be close to billionaire status), and now has decided to be an honest man, a man of god and integrity, a man of love and compassion. Never let it be said that Jean was a man, who was stingy with his worldly goods.

Walking into the yard, he smiled at Jim, the skilled Black man who had purchased his freedom. Little did Jim know Jean’s own experience with slavery.

He was always interested in politics and became for outspoken about American Independence. He was against American independence, but wanted the colonies to be a duchy of sorts. He was extremely opposed to the revolution with him saying "American independence is a fantasy, it is impossible to acheive with our army, or lack thereof, to defeat the greatest empire in the world."

Which leads me to social issues. We need to legalize homosexual marriage and homosexual adoption. The LGBT deserve equal rights to all of us. We need to end the Patriot Act as it violates the Fourth Admendment. We will protect all of the amendments of the Bill of Rights, that is a must.

As a young man, he fought alongside the British during the French and Indian War before heading home. After some tussles with the British authorities, he joined the Regulator movement against Governor Tryon. When the movement fell apart, he joined a local militia. After word of Revolution spread through the colonies, he and his men went North to join the Continental Army.

Bio: Born into the ruling planter aristocracy of South Carolina, he alongside others have become involved in the ideals of enlightenment and believes in establishing a country of equality in terms of the law and where one can pursue their chosen standings without stigma or social closing. He however is extremely religious do to his background and believes secularization would destroy the attempt to be free. He now serves in the continental congress as Representative for South Carolina and plans on achieving total independence for the colonies including economically. He also believes in total democracy but not mob rule a paradox by many.
