Once his parents noticed this, they immediately told him that his mother was not completely human. His mother was from a distant planet known as Killion, where telekinetic abilities were common among Killionite children. The parents had hoped that Edgar would be an exception due to him having a human parent, but he was not. His parents told him to keep his powers a secret, but to practice with his mother in order to learn how to control them. By the time he was 20, Edgar had graduated college and was working full time at the lab. As he was growing up, he witnessed the persecution of superhumans who's powers had been made public. However, they were curious about the universe, so they sent thousands of rockets equipped with their fastest engines and most advanced probes into space, aimed at various planets theorized to be able to support life, including Earth. By the time one of the probes reached Earth, billions of years later, the aliens had developed faster than light technology and had explored every planet near them, the probes forgotten. Falling somewhere on prehistoric Earth the probe slept, waiting for a living creature to disturb it. Eventually a civil war destroyed the alien race, and most of their technology was repurposed for war, and subsequently destroyed. However, the billion-year old probes were left alne, forgotten and obsolete. For several million years the probe on Earth slept, until a person in the present day disturbed it while mining. The miner thought nothing of it, but the probe scanned the miner, learning of Earth through its memories and copying his DNA to create a unique human designed to withstand many attacks, growing flesh over a metal skeleton capable of generating nanobots. just grabbed him,and saw it was the mysterious man.It seemed as if Jason was ready to scream out loud for help,and as he opened his mouth,the mysterious man's hand had covered it up,completely rendering him silent.The mysterious man had then moved with Jason to another,more secretive room,and then to another,and another.It seemed as if they were doing laps around the pyramid.After a long while,and confident that they were alone and safe,the mysterious man had then explained why they were after them.It turns out that the mysterious man had known of ancient and mystic treasures buried deep in the darkest chambers of the monstrous pyramid.There was also another group that had known of those treasures.Many had thought that those treasures were myths,and those that did not often perished or gave up their quest in searching for them.And as it turns out,the mysterious man had gotten a hold of one of those treasures.As powerful as it was in magic,it was regarded as a source of evil.The gunmen that had been searching for the mysterious man had personally been hired by another mysterious man,the very same man that had punched Jason a few years back,giving him his so called 'gift'.That man had the intention of using the artifact for his own evil purposes.When the mysterious man had discovered of this,he sought to destroy it before the other got a hold of it.This was how Jason got mixed in the things.The blow that the man had delivered to him was a temporary curse placed upon him to compell him to stay away.The curse had backfired,however,and now here he was...The gunmen had soon found the two of them,and ordered them to hand over the artifact.The mysterious man refused,and used its power to kill them.However,with this had come a price.Unable to withhold the artifact's power,and,as a result of his gunshot wounds,he died soon after.Jason,compelled and curious to see what it does with him,picked it up.The same thing had happened with him,however,he did not drop dead.The sheer force of power was enough to blast Jason back.Though nothing had seemed to happen to him visibly,it appeared he had a new mark...his eyelids felt a strange sensation...a blinding light of what was unknown to him flashed before him...on him...and then...nothing happened...everything had went back to normal.The bodies were still on the ground,and the complete silence of the tomb had filled his ear once more.A decision was before him this time.Keep the artifact,report to the authorities,or leave without anything and say nothing.He had made the right decision,as it appeared,that right after he had left the tomb,an explosion occured and rocketed the entire area.The damage was minimal,and there were no deaths or injuries...that the people had known of.As Jason had left the pyramid,as the thunderous noise of the explosion rocked the place,his eyes began to glow...and so did his arms...After a full retreat back to his hotel room,he had found that everone was giving him "the eye" for some reason.He didn't understand why until he went to the bathroom and saw.The blast from earlier when he had touched the artifact had given him a mark...on his eye.He checked the area where the previous scar had been...and it was gone...vanished.It was then,that Jason had known,that now,he had mystic powers no one else knew of,and he had gotten them from one of the most unsuspecting places on earth for that sort of magic.When he returned home,the district had discovered that he was one of the alledged "survivors" of this subtle "disaster",and sent their heartfelt condolences.Jason,still in shock from what he had went through,responded that an apology was not needed,as he still enjoyed himself and learned from his experience.Weeks after the incident,Jason had said not a word about his experience in the pyramid,he marveled on his adventures in touring,shopping,and chatting with the people,but refused to speak about the pyramid,and if he did,only told subtle clues on what he had did when the explosion boomed through.After graduating high school,and unsure of what to do with his life,Jason was at once more a state of homelessness.His family had filed for bankruptcy,his parents divorced,and his relationship with them at an all time low.It was not until later did he discover the true potential of his powers.One seemingly typical day,a mugger had attempted to rob the then homeless Jason,despite having nothing on him.Frustrated and enraged,the mugger lunged in with his knife,but somehow,Jason was able to repel the strike with an almost alien-like barricade...a blue,shield like substance had appeared out of his arm and blocked the would-be robber's blow.The mugger,confused and scared,ran away.Later that day,Jason encountered the same mugger robbing a woman in broad daylight.Angered,Jason approached the robber with full force and attacked him...Overcome with anger towards the man,Jason had actually killed him,and found himself on the trail of the police.Despite soon after having charges drop claiming as self-defense,Jason knew the city was no longer safe,and his home was not what it used to be.He had done some researche and discovered of a relatively "New" nation for people with strange and mystic powers just like him.It took him several months to gather the money for a plane ride there,but he soon had found it to be worth every cent.He settled down and applied to a college.He clearly did not have the money needed for a higher education,despite being an elite student,he had finally managed to recieve a scholarship.Despite still being homeless,and having nothing but a dorm as shelter,he still remains hopeful of what he may discover in this new world for him,and maybe even why he was the one to recieve those powers,and quiet possibly,himself...

known of his secret talents.The district didn't even pay for the trip because of his interest,they payed for it because of their poor income.Once he had reached the land of Egypt,he had set the incident aside and let his mind race.He only had about a week,so he'd better make it worth it.For the most part,he had spent nearly the entire week touring and exploring the land,rarely stopping for a quick shopping spree or two.It was in one of the pyramids,however,while touring them,had he encountered an experience that would forever be life changing.While on the tour,Jason had stumbled into a mysterious person.Rather than apologizing or even walking away,the person had asked and insisted that Jason follow him.At first,Jason had resisted,aware that this person may be dangerous,but then after,gunmen had ran into the group,blocking their path.The gunmen claimed they were looking for a mysterious man lurking in the shadows.Jason looked behind him and saw that the man had disappeared.Frantic and nervous,he slowly backed away from the group,but as he did so,an arm came out of seemingly nowhere and pulled him into another room.With the gunmen's attention on the group's insistant pleas to leave and tips that no one is here,they had not noticed Jason sneaking away from the group,or even the ominous arm pulling him in.Worried and scared,he peaked at the person who had just grabbed him,and saw it was the mysterious man.It seemed as if Jason was ready to scream out loud for help,and as he opened his mouth,the mysterious man's hand had covered it up,completely rendering him silent.The mysterious man had then moved with Jason to another,more secretive room,and then to another,and another.It seemed as if they were doing laps around the pyramid.After a long while,and confident that they were alone and safe,the mysterious man had then explained why they were after them.It turns out that the mysterious man had known of ancient and mystic treasures buried deep in the darkest chambers of the monstrous pyramid.There was also another group that had known of those treasures.Many had thought that those treasures were myths,and those that did not often perished or gave up their quest in searching for them.And as it turns out,the mysterious man had gotten a hold of one of those treasures.As powerful as it was in magic,it was regarded as a source of evil.The gunmen that had been searching for the mysterious man had personally been hired by another mysterious man,the very same man that had punched Jason a few years back,giving him his so called 'gift'.That man had the intention of using the artifact for his own evil purposes.When the mysterious man had discovered of this,he sought to destroy it before the other got a hold of it.This was how Jason got mixed in the things.The blow that the man had delivered to him was a temporary curse placed upon him to compell him to stay away.The curse had backfired,however,and now here he was...The gunmen had soon found the two of them,and ordered them to hand over the artifact.The mysterious man refused,and used its power to kill them.However,with this had come a price.Unable to withhold the artifact's power,and,as a result of his gunshot wounds,he died soon after.Jason,compelled and curious to see what it does with him,picked it up.The same thing had happened with him,however,he did not drop dead.The sheer force of power was enough to blast Jason back.Though nothing had seemed to happen to him visibly,it appeared he had a new mark...his eyelids felt a strange sensation...a blinding light of what was unknown to him flashed before him...on him...and then...nothing happened...everything had went back to normal.The bodies were still on the ground,and the complete silence of the tomb had filled his ear once more.A decision was before him this time.Keep the artifact,report to the authorities,or leave without anything and say nothing.He had made the right decision,as it appeared,that right after he had left the tomb,an explosion occured and rocketed the entire area.The damage was minimal,and there were no deaths or injuries...that the people had known of.As Jason had left the pyramid,as the thunderous noise of the explosion rocked the place,his eyes began to glow...and so did his arms...After a full retreat back to his hotel room,he had found that everone was giving him "the eye" for some reason.He didn't understand why until he went to the bathroom and saw.The blast from earlier when he had touched the artifact had given him a mark...on his eye.He checked the area where the previous scar had been...and it was gone...vanished.It was then,that Jason had known,that now,he had mystic powers no one else knew of,and he had gotten them from one of the most unsuspecting places on earth for that sort of magic.When he returned home,the district had discovered that he was one of the alledged "survivors" of this subtle "disaster",and sent their heartfelt condolences.Jason,still in shock from what he had went through,responded that an apology was not needed,as he still enjoyed himself and learned from his experience.Weeks after the incident,Jason had said not a word about his experience in the pyramid,he marveled on his adventures in touring,shopping,and chatting with the people,but refused to speak about the pyramid,and if he did,only told subtle clues on what he had did when the explosion boomed through.After graduating high school,and unsure of what to do with his life,Jason was at once more a state of homelessness.His family had filed for bankruptcy,his parents divorced,and his relationship with them at an all time low.It was not until later did he discover the true potential of his powers.One seemingly typical day,a mugger had attempted to rob the then homeless Jason,despite having nothing on him.Frustrated and enraged,the mugger lunged in with his knife,but somehow,Jason was able to repel the strike with an almost alien-like barricade...a blue,shield like substance had appeared out of his arm and blocked the would-be robber's blow.The mugger,confused and scared,ran away.Later that day,Jason encountered the same mugger robbing a woman in broad daylight.Angered,Jason approached the robber with full force and attacked him...Overcome with anger towards the man,Jason had actually killed him,and found himself on the trail of the police.Despite soon after having charges drop claiming as self-defense,Jason knew the city was no longer safe,and his home was not what it used to be.He had done some researche and discovered of a relatively "New" nation for people with strange and mystic powers just like him.It took him several months to gather the money for a plane ride there,but he soon had found it to be worth every cent.He settled down and applied to a college.He clearly did not have the money needed for a higher education,despite being an elite student,he had finally managed to recieve a scholarship.Despite still being homeless,and having nothing but a dorm as shelter,he still remains hopeful of what he may discover in this new world for him,and maybe even why he was the one to recieve those powers,and quiet possibly,himself...

This can be converted into heat, sound, light etc. but the actual energy cannot originate more than 50 metres from Raine, or within 10 cm of another living organism unless it is willing for that action to take place within its control area.
Raine actually has to cause a cut on her skin, but she's also able to heal insanely quickly. Blood is good for about three hours before it starts to diminish in power, and becomes useless after about six.
Raine can also use someone else's blood if they are bleeding or dead (thus it is not in a living creature). However, it is about half as effective (which is still at least 2000J of energy if someone goes and dies next to her, but if someone dies next to her then she's kinda entitled to that.
Finally, Raine has a tiny amount of power without using any blood - enough to make an incision or spark on a piece of rope binding her so she can escape - or at least get at her blood.
