Dijon, France Palace La' Val Royeaux
"Sire you have a busy day ahead, here is today's royal agenda" Louis handed Justin a piece of paper.
1. Decide the tax rate for the coming year
2. Decide on whether to drain the lake for Iron
3. Listen to the Nobles Plea
4. Listen to the Rioters Demands
5. Decide on what to do about the Collapsed Gold Mines
"Sire the court awaits you in the Throne Room" Justin walked to the Throne room to rule on today's agenda.
The King listened to the first Agenda, he ruled with "Raise the taxes triple what they are now."
The King listened to the second Agenda, he ruled with "Drain the lake for Iron."
The King listened to the third agenda, he ruled with "Any Nobles wanting lower taxes will be killed and their property seized."
The King boredly listened to the fourth agenda, he ruled with "Execute all Protesters and seize their property and Currency."
The King listened to the final Agenda, he ruled with "Rebuild those gold mines and set up more or I'll kill you and take you property as well as rebuild them." King Justin's Iron Fist became tighter and he was know as a Tyrant amongst the people of France. His Iron Rule was driven by Ruthless Ambition and Determination and that he was the absolute King of France, the Highest Power in the Land. Justin hired 4000 new troops and he began putting the Code of Justinia into effect. The people of France flourished but were still oppressed. It was not like the King, who was a benevolent and Pious ruler. Something was making him change, but the people couldn't put their finger on it.........

OOC: I mean they weren't in poverty, but had no rights and suffered under high taxes. They still were strong and had much but they are beginning to lose it more and more day by day. Just stop pointing out every flaw in what I right like Florence and I won't burn Pisa to the ground.

The country "prospers" if there is prosperity for all, good rights, much food, much entertainment, the government is strong and the army working well. Many of those conditions aren't fulfilled.

OOC: They have lots of food, good entertainments by the french arena's, They have a strong government and a very amazing army. The only thing they truly lack in is good rights, but after the wedding and coronation that will change for the better.

How can they have any food if you tax them that much? Also, you have recently lost a lot of your army from Genoa & Venice, etc. The government I suppose is good, but you never said anything about arenas.

The arena have yet to be built and the price of bread is 1 florin. The peasants make around 3 florins per day. So they can afford food. Don't forgot I tax the people every month not every week or day, so they can stock up money for a while and then the nobles pay 30 florins and the peasants pay 10 florins so it works out. And the government is the best. We have good ministers and a King that is turning back down the path of a good leader. Give me sometime and just bear with me on this.

Ok, but "prosper" isn't the word I would use, makes the country sound more like the USA than North Korea.
IC: Our troops in the Dodecanese, receiving no resistance (other than the natives) from the Byzantines, have secured all of the Dodecanese islands. Their casualties range around 1,000, many of which are from the attack on Rhodes. The men are very worn out and tired, and ships will be taking them home after new troops are sent there to occupy it.

From Emperor Theodors

No alliances treaty was ever signed to begin with.We do however look forward working with your nation. If you wish we could sign an alliance and discuss if your troops could reast in our land, for a small fee, while they head for the Crusade.

A ship is sent to the Balearics, disguised as a poor trader. Its goal is to discern the situation there and whether the residents plan to pay or not. Meanwhile, soldiers are sent to fortify the Pisan countryside and also our other territories such as Corsica. A militia is raised in the Dodecanese islands, as we endeavour to try and make them unrebellious and to think that we are better lords than the Byzantines.
OOC: If there is a Crusade on, the following:
To the Pope,
We will be participating in the Crusades with 3,750 men, and you may direct us where to go. We wish to gain glory under the eyes of God, as we have not had that opportunity against the Byzantines. We hope that this Crusade will turn out better than the last one and hope to defeat the infidels. We are completely behind you in this one and fully support it.
Best of Wishes, Council of Pisa

Iceland, North Sea:
The English army lands. They number several thousand strong, their goal: to defeat the Norwegians and take Iceland

Kristiansand, Norway:
The English army lands and attacks the town of Kristiansand, but instead of a full attack or siege, they repeat what had been done to Dundee, in Scotland.
They set the town alight! Volley after volley of fire arrows was loosed on the wooden town. It was soon engulfed in flames. A few Norwegians escaped the burning town, but they were chased down by the English knights.
"That should suffice for their 'burning at the stake," said the King, chuckling. "ONWARD!!!"
And the army proceeds inland, Norway shall fall!

Cardinal San-Clair, and Bishop Formadiue stood round a table in the Basilica's war room, they looked at the map placed on it with interest
"The Holy City...so close yet so far away" said Bishop Formadiue whilst trailing his hand from Rome to Jerusalem
"It will fall Bishop, the Pope has made sure it will" commented San-Clair "The Knights Templar and Hospitaller are anxious to return and will fight with such ferocity the heathens will turn around and run back to their houses in the desert sand"
"Yes yes, the Pope also said Constantinople will fall, look how well that turned out!"
"That Pope was NOT this Pope, Tyrol is a man of God, the blind regain sight when he walks near!"
"I suppose you are right Cardinal, forgive my insult to his Holiness"

Meanwhile the Pope is still in Venice, waiting for the remaining leaders to arrive

The French fleet was nearing Cyprus. The fleet was about 12 miles off the coast and the 32 ships and 20,000 men would land on the coast by Acre, and then the 25,000 soldiers coming from land who were by Antioch would reinforce them, then they would march on Jerusalem. With no reinforcements from the other 'catholic' nations, it would be to the french to recapture Jerusalem and return the holy city to the children of God.

Meanwhile in France...
"So are they ready?"
"Yes sire, their ready"
"Good now lets get this over with" Justin and Louis prepared to walk into the Throne when a guard burst through the doors of the King's Office
"Your majesty, Lord William is at Marseilles, he is here!!"
"What, Louis tell the court to wait and comeback tomorrow, you guard fetch me a fresh horse."
"Yes sire"
"Now I have a important man to meet" Justin, Louis, Victoria, and 200 guards rode out of the palace on their horses and rode for Marseilles to meet a contact of Justin's, who had an important mission for him..............

Flat land surrounding Acre
Legate Giovanni Vespucci , Count of Bologna
forces:
900 heavy/light Calvary
100 horse archers (mercenaries)
1000 heavy infantry
1000 archers
900 pike men
2 siege towers (building)
1 catapult (building)
Giovanni and his newly trained army sat on flat land surrounding the great port city of acre .His men we still fresh off the galley that landed them in the holy lands but as of now all of his troops sick or wounded were building a camp to lay siege to the city it would make a nice addition to Florence and would lead to better trading in the area and plus the would be doing good for the church and the crusade. Giovanni had then ordered his men to build to siege towers and a catapult so they could intimidate the enemy into thinking they were going to assault the walls.

Somewhere in the Middle East.
"Captain we have eyes on the shores, we passed Cyprus and are now 4 miles from the shores."
"Good, we are making good progress, and what of the army at Antioch, they are beginning to besiege it now"........
Antioch, Syria
"Commander the trebuchets are in place and the siege towers are ready. Shall we assault them?"
"Lets wait for a little while, I want the heretics to starve. Put up defensive position in case of a counter attack and position that cavalry battalion on the right flank, and go to the quarries 2 miles from here and get some stone as ammunition, lets turn the city into a pile of rubble and ash, then scout that ridge and keep the center Strong."
"Yes Lord Commander!!"
The French Army would besiege the city and starve them into surrender, and if that didn't work they would burn the city to the ground. It was no use to the French anyways, seeing as they didn't want it. So it was better as a pile of scraps for the French to use. The Trebuchets began to fire and they smashed the walls and toppled the buildings of Antioch. Commander Bertrand then ordered half of the Trebuchets to destroy the Mosque in the city. It was hit and it came crumbling down. The towers fell on it and then the domes came crashing in and 4000 people were killed. The French would besiege Antioch into Submission and wait for reinforcements..........
