I'd think a robot with infinite respawns would stay pretty useful, wouldn't he?

Nah.

I prefer Bumblebee. In that he's great at discovering the Decepticon hideout. Just tag him with a tracker and keep and eye on when he gets kidnapped, then raid the place.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

I'd like to see you try telling Christians that Jesus stopped being useful when he got himself killed. :p

Let me guess, Dash vs. Starscream?
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Nah. I prefer Cthulhu.

Although I really find it funny how Jesus is normally depicted- he always to me appears to be Yahweh's hipster son and I wouldn't be surprised if in Elfen High he was born actually in the sixties, but found this awesome thing called LSD and went through a rebellious faze and is still refusing to cooperate with Yahweh.

A side note - in reading To Kill a Mockingbird, I've realized that I unintentionally made Lewis' a drunken, angry Atticus Finch, at least to D.
"Then I was fertilized and grew wise;
From a word to a word I was led to a word,
From a work to a work I was led to a work."

Atticus is a pretty cool dad. His name is on the list of potential names for my future children, along with Charles, Craig, Maximus, and Mufassa.

The best part about reading this book is the teacher's reactions to it.

An actual speech she delivered - "There's a word in this book. We all know what word it is. Some of you might say 'Why don't they just take this word out?' We don't, because if we did, we'd never know how wrong we were. When you're reading out loud, you don't have to say it. It's OK, we understand."

The actual response from the kid next to me - "Do you mean 'slut'?"

I will admit that before I actually read the book for the first time last year I would joke about it, saying that instructions on bird hunting seemed like poor material for a classic American novel. I have never been so wrong.
