Oh yeah, you can definitely get by in Hong Kong with just English, especially if you're Indian. Indians in Hong Kong are a pretty closed off group. And most of us are racist against East Asians anyway, with Northeastern Indians getting that as well.

I just think that if you are an immigrant, it's your job to maintain your original culture but also to adjust yourself to the culture of the place around you, including language. Only reason I'm not learning Afrikaans or Zulu is because I'm leaving this place in a month.
