The Caliphate would rather not share it's conquests. For it, doing such a move would be to recreate a grander Caliphate of Cordoba, and restore the Caliph's power over the lands of his great-great grandfather, or somefin.

Establishing colonies is hardly a guarantee of that, they could all fail and just be horribly costly ventures, I mean that was what happened to most attempts of colonizing at first. Still if you want, go for it, but trade would be a far more sure means of securing wealth me thinks.

Brief Description of your nation's History: The Duchy of Muscovy was formed by Borislav Rurikovich , a powerful noble that had controlled the small village of Moscow in 1100. Borislav fought several of his neighbors in an effort to consolidate his rule, he succeed in conquering many lands that surrounded his small village. His soon would considerate his holdings and acquire more land through several deals with neighboring nobles. The cycle of conquest and consolidation would continue for several decades ending in 1330 under Vasili's grandfather Ilya, a devout Orthodox Russian who wanted to make Muscovy the religious center of the East Slavs, Ilya invested a large part of the treasury into the now town-sized Moscow, under him the town would grow bigger and grander as more people came to live in Moscow, turning it into a center of population for much of the region. Ilya's son would continue his father's footsteps while concentrating more power into the hands of the monarchy, something which his father had let slip while recreating Moscow, Vasili took the throne in 1394, he is closely watched by the nobility to see if he will follow in hos father's footsteps, his grandfather's, or that of his old ancestors.

Many of the Atlantic nations are probably going to colonize, and are in pretty good positions to do so, I plan on going colonizing, and have attempted to start already in the Mediterranean, and it wouldn't surprise me if other italians wanted to try to as well.
